Name of career: Sorcery
Type: Adult
Status: Pre-release
Version: 0.9
Reward: Biotech Station
Base Career: Athletics
GUIDs: 0x00142601; Registered with SimPE
Overwrites Base career? No
Pre-EP compliant: Yes
EP1 Compliant: NO -- will be soon!
EP1 Required: No
Languages: English only.
Adult
Number of Levels: 10
Details provided in the screen shots. (Sorry, I am NOT retyping all that info.)
NOTES:
I've tested this fairly extensively in my own game. It doesn't overwrite any careers, has all chance cards, is spell-checked and grammar-checked (though I do have a tendency to spell "sorcerer" incorrectly sometimes and I can't be 100% sure I got it right every time; I'm 99% sure I did), but English ONLY. The English should show up in all the languages. As this is my first career, I cannot be 100% sure I did everything correctly so if the info isn't showing up in other languages (or if it is!) I would love to know. I only have the original game but as the career was made with the EP1-ready tutorial and an EP1-ready copy of SimPE I think it should work. I would greatly appreciate testing from any EP1 users. I have no idea how any of it will be affected by EP2.
All I know is that the career works perfectly fine on my computer with my game copy. Please tell me if it works in yours!
The career does not have custom icons and there are no plans to add any at this time. If the career turns out to work well for everyone, it will be the first of many, so if you like what you see at all please tell me! I'm hoping to do a whole set of Fantasy-based careers including Nobility, Adventuring, Alchemy, Herbology, Wizardry, Carpentry, Vampirism, Heroism, Hunting, Necromancy... and anything else I can come up with. And if that goes well, an expanded set of reality-based careers and a science fiction set.
The thing I'd most like to know (aside from whether or not it works!) is how you like the Chance Cards. They're my favorite part. They even have a bit of story to them, if you happen to get them all (or go into SimPE and read them).
I picked the Biotech Station because Sorcery should involve some potionmaking... and of the choices it seemed the best fit.
