I was disappointed with the DJS Sims options for their vampire biting control hack, they didn’t have the option that made the most sense, which was to protect NPCs on community lots (from the Grand Vampire or other townies) but still make it easy to make NPCs vampires at home. Mrs. Crumplebottom can’t visit home lots so she’d be safe, and you can still use the influence to bite option downtown if you needed.

This hack disables the option to bite NPCs (maid, gardener, fireman, etc.) on any lot that is not residential. You cannot use this hack along with the vampire biting control hacks from DJS Sims, or any other hacks that modify the test BHAV for the bite option. This is a global hack.

*If it seems not to be working, try putting it in the C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Nightlife\TSData\Res\Objects folder. Making the objects.package read only is recommended, just in case.*

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract: Use WinRAR (Windows) or Stuffit (Mac) to extract the .package file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).

3. Place in Downloads Folder: Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Downloads folder:

Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\
Windows Vista: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\
Mac: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\
