**Update** I changed this file for my game ages ago but didnt realize until recently that I hadnt uploaded the new files here. The mesh was resized so that it sits only on one side of the table instead of crowding the whole 1 x 1 section. Looks much nicer this way, I think Enjoy.
*The new file will overwrite the old

Christmas recolor download on second page of thread. Thank you to every one and Happy Holidays
Hi :howdy:
This piece is my first attempt at creating an object (first after JWoods tutorial piece at least). I needed something to keep my "servant" from serving every other seat but the seats that actually had Sims in them and a table full of lamps candles etc. just didnt suit soooo....I made this formal placesetting to give my tables a little ummph.
This is a purely decorative piece, no interactions other than "view" as it was cloned from the fruit bowl. It has its own unique GUID. The textures are rather bland at the moment but I am working on that. I dont know if its possible but if someone with a lot more experience with this kind of stuff than I have wants to open it up and advise me on what I can do to make it better, please by all means let me know.
Once unzipped into your downloads folder this piece should show up in the Buy Mode in the decorative category under misc. or "All" and will cost your Sims a mere $50 Simos
Thanks to JWoods whose excellent tutorial helped me create my little work of art, Miche & Delphy for their cool little toy and the SimPE peoples...Quaxi?
Thanks
Lareej
P.S. Just a quick note since I am at this moment playing with it....If you use the move_objects cheat and put a second table down in the same spot as the one with the placesetting on it your sims will put their food plate on the second table and it will look like they are eating from the placesetting.
*UPDATE*
Thanks to our very own JWoods I am able to update this piece MUCH sooner than I expected (the man has some wicked skills I tell ya).
The piece has been reworked and is now color enabled I have included two sets and will probably have more but for starters there is 1 set of patterned dinnerware (3 patterns) and 1 set of the more "sophisticated" standard dinnerware in 5 colors (gold, blue, green, red and black-not shown in pic) The napkin, plates and flatware can be colored separately and you may recolor to your hearts content (or I can make some recolors for you if you like) but please do not distribute the mesh or recolors on any paysites. Also some rework was done on the goblets so they are now glass goblets.
Oh and the price went up considerably for your Sims "china" does not come cheap although the original set is still 50 simos this new lot is 400s a pop hehe
Thanks again J
Enjoy

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.
