Givin' her a go!

Date Posted: 15th Mar 2014 at 7:20 PM

Well, been tinkering around with meshing and I'm very excited to try converting one of my old Sims 2 objects to Sims 3. Hope I get this right! Might take a while, though, been pretty busy around here lately and just starting to recover from being really sick - again. Hang in there folks, hopefully I'll come up with something cool for y'all! :lovestruc

Sooo frustrated!

Date Posted: 24th Oct 2010 at 9:36 PM

Ugh! I can't believe I can't just make up my mind and figure out where to start for Sims 3 cc.! I lost all my programs that I used for Sims 2 and I just don't have the assets to get them back right now! Erg! I am already bored with almost everything I have!
I want to make something unique, but I don't know where to start. I'm thinking a pattern set first, cuz seriously? How many flowers, stripes, and ugly crap does a person need?
This is going to take a lot of head scratching and cursing, I can see that already! I just don't understand why I can't wrap my dumb old head around all the info and tutorials this time when it seemed to be so easy for Sims 2.
Phew, time to go look at People of Walmart for a while. Maybe I'll be horrified into thinking of something to do. lol

Oh, wow, I forgot about this. lol

Date Posted: 16th Oct 2010 at 9:17 AM

Wow, ha ha, I haven't journaled in forever!!!Well, I don't play the sims 2 anymore or create for it, but it's neat to see how many people downloaded my stuff and how well a couple of them did. Makes me feel "pecial".
I play sims 3 now, but looking back at my creations and how much easier it was to create for sims 2, I have to admit I miss it!
I might end up creating for Sims 3. Not sure, I tried and failed miserably, but it was the same for Sims 2 at first, too. Hopefully the programs will mature to the point that a dork like me can figure them out! lol
In the meantime, I just kind of hang out here once in a while to check on new stuff and all, I'm mostly a FB junkie now, so I dunno. I might make a "comeback".
Thanks to all of you who downloaded my stuff, I hope you all enjoyed or are enjoying it.

Dang, lost my dolphin

Date Posted: 28th Dec 2009 at 7:41 PM

I searched far and wide for the dolphin fountain I created, but alas, I have lost it forever! Oh, well, maybe I will try again. I haven't had much time to make new stuff with Christmas gift projects and all, but I will try to find time in the new year.
I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday season!
Happy New Year everyone!

Been away for a while!

Date Posted: 15th Dec 2009 at 3:47 PM

Yup, I have been away for a while, but I think I am ready to come back and do some more work. I made a dolphin fountain mesh for the sims 2 freetime, and as soon as I can find it, I will upload.
I have been messing around with the sims 3 and I guess it is okay, but I am nowheres near creating for it yet. Maybe I'll start off with a pattern or so.
I may be moving soon, so I'm not sure when I will be able to get these things done, so hang in there. I'm also pretty sure I'll mostly be doing stuff for the sims 2.
Glad to be back.
Off the subject, I just wanted to let everyone know that my dad is finally home and doing okay. He now has a shunt for his liver until he can get a transplant, and his hip surgery is finally done and he is starting to walk with a walker and all. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

My secret project is here!

Date Posted: 10th Mar 2009 at 7:09 PM

Wow! I finally got my "secret project" done and uploaded! I had so much fun making it! I had to do a lot of guesswork cuz the guy that made the tutorial is no longer with us, so he only got the one real big tutorial for meshing done. I will forever be thankful to Matt. I am so sad that he is gone. I made a Trumpeter Swan for the pond and I hope people like it. I used to never like swans, but I've been seeing more and more of them on our river and they kinda grew on me. I only wish I could have made an animated version, but they still look neat on the water just the way they are. Well, off to come up with another idea!

Never fear, Kalamity is still here!

Date Posted: 10th Jan 2009 at 8:15 AM

Wow, I have been gone for so long that I feel discombobulated! lol Probably not the right word, but I like it cuz it's a funny word. Yeah.
I want to apologize for disappearing for so long. I have had quite a few setbacks in my life lately and I have been dealt blow after crushing blow. To top it all off, my body is now breaking down and the doctors are at a standstill as for what is next, so bear with me if I don't get around to requests right now. I am just getting back into things again. I want to help out, but I am not sure of what I can do except bury myself in my creations and start putting up new items and such.
I am currently working on a secret project *shhhhhh- it's a secret!* and hopefully with some luck I will be able to share it with you all. Let's just say I'm dabbling in meshing and making inanimate objects, so keep your panties on, I'm getting there. hee hee
I can't wait to get back to doing the only thing I seem to be good at these days, living in the fake world of the Sims.
Howdy to all and to all a good day, eh!

Hot and sticky!

Date Posted: 5th Aug 2008 at 4:26 AM

Ugh! It is soooo hot and sticky out lately! It makes me want to sit by the computer and create, but with the fair coming up in less than a month, I have a ton of stuff to get ready! I have to actually wash some ducks and chickens! No, I am not joking! I only wish I were. To get their feathers to look nice and get the oil off the backs of the ducks that they got from sitting under the truck to stay cool, its bath time! Amazingly, they don't mind it at all! They just don't like being caught is all. hee hee.
I did manage to squeak out a very simple little tutorial by request at this link for anyone interested: Simple Loft Tutorial It's an extremely basic tut, but, hey, we all have to start somewhere, right?
As far as an update on my dad, he is still not well. The biggest thing he is struggling with is depression right now besides the pain. They are going to keep him in Milwaukee until they are done with all his surgeries, which could take up to two years. I am so sick of him being so far away! My mom is so lonely and overburdened with running the family business alone. I am kinda not to good with the whole God thing at this point in my life because I am a bit confused, but I manage to think about dad and mom every day and say a prayer, anyway. I'm not too sure if God listens to someone like me at all, but I just know there is a creator out there watching over all of us. I just know he is watching over my pop right now.
He has to be.
Right, well, back to creating before I get all sniffled up again. Hope you all are doing well and such.

Things are finally green!

Date Posted: 13th May 2008 at 8:07 PM

Ah, finally it is that time of year again when things are turning green and the snow is finally gone!!!!! I will be doing a lot of planting this year, so I will try to keep the uploads coming!
I also want to report that, although still weak, and pretty depressed, my dad is surviving his ordeal so far. He is now in a nursing home until they can get him set up for surgery. Otherwise, he is doing much better! Thanks to all who have been sending kind thoughts and prayers for my family. They are greatly appreciated. :lovestruc

Easter Wishes to all

Date Posted: 24th Mar 2008 at 5:52 AM

Firstly, I want to wish to all that celebrate Easter a wonderful holiday and all. Don't eat too much chocolate.
They moved my dad from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility over the spring break to help him get stronger now. The only downside to this is that my parents have no insurance and until they get some, my father cannot get a liver transplant that he needs to save his life and a hip replacement that he needs to be able to walk without pain again. I so wish there was something I could do for them. Well, I did manage to take my mom out to the country and gave her a good laugh when I went into my friends field where she keeps her horses and donkeys and they all surrounded me and snuggled up to me. lol I am 5'1" and the tallest horse I am only up to the middle of his shoulder, so you can imagine it is quite comical! lol Anyway, I also am teaching her how to use thier laptop and showed her some of the stuff I made for the sims and she smiled and called me goofy! hee hee. I guess I can help her by keeping a smile on her face, anyway.
So, I did manage to get a neighborhood out there! Yay! I am so excited! I hope everyone likes it and that it works out for anyone that uses it! I use it and it is a nice one for me.
Time to destress again and get back to the drawing board. I am going to try to squeeze out some outfits or maybe some sims this time, I dunno yet. We'll see.....
