View Full Version : Simple Question - What is a "Mesh", and do I have to download them?

First of all, sorry if someone already created a thread of this kind, but I do not have the time to scout all the forums... oh whatever, here goes.

As far as I know, "Meshes" are the 3d model of the piece of clothing/hair/shoes. Now, there are several skins on this site that I really would like to have in my collection (Sorry, but you guys rock at modding). The thing is that many of them list a specific "Mesh". Does that mean that I have to download a specific mesh for every single mod/skin I'd like downloaded? Or is the mesh information included for other modders so they can create their own variations?

Thank you in advance. :salute:

P.S. Note that I do not wish to create my own variations of meshes (yet), I just want to use those skins in-game.

Hi!
Yes, you have to download the mesh for the thing you download. Otherwise it won't show up in the game. Sometimes you have to download the mesh separately from the creators site and sometimes it's included in the download if it's a recolor...

Many recolors are for the same mesh. If you already have it, you don;t need to redownload it.

Ugh. Okay, so where do meshes go? (In which folder.)

in your downloads folder.

Depends ... pre Nightlife they had to be in Downloads folder but with Nightlife we can put bodyshop items in Downloads sub folders.

I sugest you put the mesh in the same folder were the texture are located.
