Mod The Sims - game never loads

i load the sims2 and it freezes when it gets to the ea logo, any suggestions?

Have you tried taking out the groups.cache in your The Sims 2 folder?

Just a suggestion, when I had that problem, someone on this site suggested taking it out and it solved the issue from me.

i went thru that FAQ and i tried deleted the cache file heaps of times but it still happens

Did you remove all custom content?
