I am an idiot, see last night I was trying to briong back my two favourite sims, Melanie Richman/Friend and Piper Richman who died of oldness, I couldn't find them using the Insim right? Not in Ghosts or Default, so I got annopyed, I entered Simpe (Note this is not a Simpe or Insim question) to see if they still existed, they did, but it said they had no character data, WTF? They were once alive before!...
But before last night I did bring them back by Insim>The Summoner>Default> then got those tweo, then used Family tree, add a family memeber and added the two, then I played around a bit and turned Melanie and Piper back into teens because I liked them that way, but then I realized Piper and Melanie had the wrong hair, so I just got out of it and didn't save, so now they should be in Elder stage but still live.
The thing is I brought them back via two college students living in a dorm.
So last night, I was upset, so I went to one of my other files which I copied just in case, copied Neighbourhood 1, then went back to the original copy of Sims 2, pasted the lots and characters of Pleasantview in Neighbouhhood 11 because I was afraid it would mess up Pleasantview if I put it there. Problem? It still stuffed Pleasantview up and now everythign screwed!
All the sims before the second tikme I copied The Sims 2 file were young, most anyway, these that were still alive like Shelly Savelle or Amber Benson were messed up.
Some of the older sims had no personaitly (Actually all did), some had no Aspiriations, some had changed Aspiriations and some had the grilled cheese and all were in the red zone of crankyness............
So I went into Summoner and default and all, Darleen Dreamer, Katie Richman, Kate Littletion, Angela Pleasant/Richmanw ere there, so I summoned them, but there was no "This person died on another lot" blah blah, they stayed, which means they weren't dead.
Went into Simpe and it said they all didn't have character data.
In the progres of trying to bring Melanie and Piper back (BTW, before this paryt I tried getting thier daughter/son to bring them back but it said they couldn't) I destroyed Pleasantview and all my favourite characters...
Oh! And no one has a parent anymore, or related to anyone. And to these sims that disappeared they left thier Teen/Toddler./Child in thier homes (I can't get the Child and Toddlers out without the SW taking them away)...
It's not the new IMsinenator or Simpe fault, it's mine, I destroyed it while trying to save two sims.
Strangetown and Veronaville and other Neighbourhoods were okay. Only the Singles/Smiths from Strangetwon were gone but only because they were living in Pleasantview.
I don't know what to do, how do I restore pleasantview? (Oh! And before that, luckily I made Simpe backup Pleasantview!)...Do I delete it and then copy a file from one of the other copies/backups of Pleasantville?,,,
I guess I weill choose sabving the entire population of Pleasantview then dsaving two sims who I allowed to die of oldness...
