Ok when I download female skins, the heads won't show up when I go to create a sim. Instead of the head, it's a rabbit's head with only one eye. I don't know why this is happening! I made sure only the original Sims 2 was required & it was US English but it still won't work. Can anyone please help me?!

That means the hair's mesh is missing. Are you talking about custom sims or skintones?

custom sims. the ones that i got that don't work are from thesims2.com that users have uploaded.

i think i'm just gonna break the game & stop playing. seriously, this is ridiculous. barely any sims i download work. even the ones i've downloaded here, the head's just don't work! i don't know what's wrong or what's going on & all i wanna do is just play the game but i've been sitting here for 5 hrs just trying to figure this out. doesn't all the meshes and everything needed for the skin come in the file u download?? if not, this is just too much for me to figure out. i really need some help!

It sounds like they're missing their hair meshes. Just change their hair.

No they don't always come in the same file. An outfit or hair requires both a mesh and the painted part of the mesh (design/color).
When you download from Sims2.com you should ck the *asterik to see if they have 3rd party content in the creation of their sims. If they do... refrain from downloading them.
Otherwise make sure the downloads you get from modsims2 etc. have the mesh or if they require you to get the mesh from another area.. then do that. All it takes is a few minutes of extra reading... rather than 5 hours of trying to fix what isn't available to fix in your CAS.

i appreciate u helping but i don't think that's what's wrong. because i deleted everything i had downloaded & redownloaded one sim off thesims2.com & i looked at the other stuff used to make it & i downloaded the hair mesh & it still doesn't work. i can't choose the head & then just change the hair because the head is showing up in the special hairstyles section when u click the star in create a sim but it's a rabbits head. ive tried it with other ones i downloaded from here too, making sure i downloaded everything i needed & still it just won't work. something's obviously just wrong with my game. i don't know what to do. i guess i wasted 50$ on the game.

so this one for example, do i need to download everything listed there as well as the file? if i do, that sucks bcuz that means i have to pay to d/l what i need from simchic & search for the exact files.

This link provides details about the "bunny head" that might enlighted you.
It's not the games fault that your CC isn't working. That is user error either by you or the person that made it. It has nothing to do with your actual game. lol
Good luck tho! I hope you get it sorted out and I understand your frustration.

Also make sure the sims are for the EPs you have; if they use meshes from games you don't have you will get a bunny head and the wrong outfit. If the bunny head still shows up after you have the mesh, try deleting the contents of my documents/ EA Games/ The Sims 2/ Thumbnails.
