My sister was playing on Sims 2 (she doesn't really know how to use it, but I let her have a little play) and she deleted Pleasantview when she was clicking on things frantically. I don't have a backup, is there anywhere I can download Pleasantview as it comes when you first start the game?
Thanks, Laura.

I think if you delete the whole neighborhood from the sims2 folder in your "My Documents", it will re-create it next time you launch. it's neighborhood N001.
the path is like:
My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighborhoods/N001 I believe.
I know I had to do it once, and as I recall, that's all there was to it.
Good luck!

I tried looking at that, Neighbourhood N001 doesn't exist. Just N002, my custom neighbourhood. Thanks for trying to help though lol - any other ideas?
EDIT // I re-read your post and you said 'if you delete the neighbourhood from My Documents..' or something, my sister deleted it from the main neighbourhood screen. I don't know if this makes a difference haha.

You may find it on the original game disk, "browse disk" don't open it.
Hope this helps

But if you navigate to the location in windows (not in the game) there is still no N001?
If that doesn't do it, then I guess I'm forgetting a step. Sorry, but I'm sure somebody else will come along and fill in the blanks.

I'll try that, thanks Gareth :D If I can find the damn disk lol, I haven't used it in ages because of EPs!
Yeah, there's no N001 at all. Just N002.

If that doesn't work, and you can find the disk, you could just backup the whole "The Sims 2" folder, then reinstall the game, and move everything you need back except N001. Kinda a pain, but it should certainly work.

The original neighbourhoods also exist on your hard drive:
