knowledge aspiration failure

no one else seems to have this problem as i do. I was trying to get my knowledge sim to talk to the volleyball (i was informed by my friend that it is indeed a volleyball) and i cant seem to be able to trigger this :wtf:. I can do all the other ones just fine, but knowledge is so stubborn. I put the aspiration down in low red and waited for almost 30 actual minutes, nothing. I even trapped my sim in a non escape able room. Nothing. I sat there for almost 2 sim days and i got nothing... :( if anyone knows how to trigger this, please let me know...i do not know if this could possibly be a problem with my game, or if i just need to wait longer or put the aspiration bar lower or....anything else. Help would be appreciated.

You say it's in low red, try meeting a few more fears, perhaps it needs to be more into aspiration failure for it to trigger things into happening. If it's not low enough, waiting won't do anything.

do you think that i should put it in green and fulfill a fear? if i fulfill a fear when the sim is in red, he will go into aspiration failure mode... i tried that. I will give fulfilling a fear a try.

I tried it (sorry for the wait, in between school work and studying its hard to get free time in) I put my sim in desperation as suggested. I fulfilled his 2 fears (fire and cooking fire) while he was in green aspiration. He had his spaz thing and the therapist came and such. Then right after that, he was in low red aspiration, and for the first time i have ever seen in my game, he took out prof. von ball. Wow, thanks for your help, even if the question was kinda simple to figure out, but its what you do. Thanks very much for your time. :D
