Too many newspapers

I have just moved my game and installed BV on a new PC. when I moveonto a new lot, or a downloaded lot, immediatly there appears newspapers, when I make the sims trash the newspapers more just appear out of thin air. the sims, and any visiting sims seem to think there is a paperboy there as a thought bubble is visible with the paper person in it and they wave to him/her but no paper person is actually visible, just constantly appearing newspapers. I have run the game with hacks and without hacks and still multiple papers.

Have you taken out -all- custom content, and all user files? I've heard of that issue, and that it may be custom content related.

I have had the same problem, as well as an issue with my wants and fears disappearing on one or more characters within a lot and not returning, even after sleep/going somewhere, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I have tried running mod and hack free as well as with everything installed, doesn't seem to make a difference.

Lily - Have you tried without any user files at all - not just custom content? If it persists without all user files (and that FAQ I linked tells how to remove them and then let the game regenerate fresh ones) then it is likely a bug. I've been compiling a list of Bon Voyage bugs that have been confirmed to occur in games even with fresh user files and no custom content - hopefully should be able to get it to the right people and get those issues fixed in a patch. Further description in detail of the wants/fears issue (are the icons just blank for the wants and fears, a black spot, or...? can you get a picture?) if that and the other issue do persist with no user files would be helpful. :)

In regards to the newspaper issue - I started from scratch with no user files, no mods or hacks. Brand new game, completely reinstalled, and I had the same problem. Same with the wants and fears. Eventually I noticed that the newspaper problem seemed to cease on its own - without me doing anything other than going to bed and trying to play again the next day. The wants and fears as I mentioned in the other post has not resolved itself (unfortunately) - the wants and fears are usually there when I start the character up, but then once they are fufilled they are gone, leaving an empty blue square, with no icon. Eventually I had one character that had all of her wants and fears completely gone - with only one that I had locked available to fufill.

Edit - closing out of the family/neighborhood/game and going back in did not refresh the wants or fears - they were all still gone when I went back in. :)
