Garage door against lot edge - is it possible?

Ok, so I have spent the last few days googling and searching several sim site forums to see if anybody knew how to build a garage so that the door was against the front edge/road of the lot. I haven't been able to find anything with what I've been searching. However, I swear that I saw that somebody had done it aages ago.

So does anybody here know if it is possible and if so, how?

The closest you can get is right next to the sidewalk. You need to have move_objects on. You can not use the main drive way piece (so the back up animation will not be there, but they can still use their cars.) Place a driveway segment right next to sidewalk and then place the garage door at the sidewalk end.

You will still need to be 2 tiles in from the side edges if you want to put a side wall on your garage.

Actually you can use the main driveway piece, however the car will back through the garage door and it does involve a little script editing. :)
