Favorite ways to play vampire sims

I'm obviously new at playing vampires. Thanks for answering all of my questions!

My latest question is this: what is your favorite way to play vampire sims? Now that I've figured out how to keep my vampire alive and able to pay the bills, I'm having a hard time figuring out what to make him do with his eternal life. What do you guys usually do with your vampires?

VIP Nightclubs......foolish townies who "see too much" when they sneak into the backroom may never be the same again. ;)

Vampirism is also good for those townies/in-laws who keep visiting during the day....

I use nightclubs as well, with a secret backroom! :D

Also, I have some as artists; work on their creativity skills and have them sell masterpieces, be DJs at clubs etc.

Most of them are Pleasure or Romance sims who seduce naive townies to their deaths...or if they like them enough, give them their "gift".

A lot of it is in my mind, but I simply don't see a vampire selling hotdogs for a living, even though their motives don't decay while at work. It's just unrealistic that there is no sunlight downtown in Simcity or wherever they go :P

I made mine a romance sim, and I have him seduce as many females as possible. He doesn't work... He just seduces... it's fun, I just spend all my time zooming in and staring at him.......I'll stop now........: :dsausage:

Yeah I played Vampire, The Masquerade: Bloodlines. So that, and the classic works of Bram Stoker made me make a "minion" for my vampire households.

He or she will keep and eye out for the mondaine thing and do things during the day. One of my ghouls even tends to the er... romantic needs of her vampire master ;)

Downtown is indeed the place my Vampire sims like to hang out.

My vampire has a minion by accident. I have Shaklin's mod, so I made my vampire kill the paper girl and drink her blood. My vampire happens to be a nice guy, so he kept feeling all bad about killing her. He was constantly rolling wishes to resurrect her. Eventually, he did, and now she's automagically part of the household. He added a room onto the house for her and helps her with her homework and stuff. In return, she helps out around the house during the day. I find that it's much easier to play a vampire when there is a human around to do things during the day.

Well, this thread inspired me to do something more then just go downtown and party with my Vampire Sim.

So I had him start a buisness :) Since a vampire doesn't loose motives during the night I thought he'd be really good at running a store, and it works really well. I can go back to my buisness about 2-3 times a night without any effort.
I just need to keep an eye on the clock, I'll close up by 5am, that leaves me enough time to restock and other little chores before heading home at 7.

I made a Curioso/Occult shop for him to run (The Magic Box) but I think an Art Gallery, Nightclub or Antique Shop would work really well too :)

Well, when my sim called for a date and I payed the full price, her perfect match wound up being the Count! After they got their relationship up high, he wanted to bite her and make her a vamp, so I decided to propose he move in with her (as she is a romance sim and did not want to be engaged or married). Since that time, they've had a little girl together. My problem is, he keeps wanting to bite her and make her a vampire! He's done it several times and I keep having to turn her back so she can go to work and take care of her child during the day and stuff like that.

Anyway, I got tired of that, plus, he kept having wants to "ask a sim on a date" and "meet a new sim", so I sent him downtown. There he "feasted" on several beauties, one of which I had him kill off, the others he turned into vampires. There was one particular bartender who was quite pretty, so I had him woo her until they were best friends. I cheated by sending him home just before 7:00 a.m. and then sending him back out again for the night, since the home lot remains at the time he leaves it - managed to do it about 5 times before I pushed it to the limit and he wound up heading home in the sunlight and had his needs depleted by the time he got home, so I had to continue the next night doing the same thing.

In any event, I was finally able to fulfill his want to ask another sim on a date and made the bartender his "mistress". I'm hoping that by sending him downtown to eat he wont keep biting his live-in love, but so far he still keeps wanting to make her a vamp!

One particular night I managed to get the other sims in the household asleep or studying to occupy them, while I had him invite the bartender over and had him woohoo her in his own bed and then proposed she move into the household. I then immediately had her go to the computer and select the move out option. I did all this to make her a playable character the "natural" way instead of by using cheats (I find the lots tend to get buggy if you use the testingcheatsenabled too much).

Tonight, my plans are to give her lots of "family funds", move her onto a lot and build a nice little crypt to keep her as his vampire mistress. I still need to have him bite her and make her a vampire, but figured I'd go ahead and get the house fixed up first. Once I have her all set up, I plan to put her to work at home, making robots and toys, and stuff like that for a living. I figure I can have her open her at-home shop at night and she should have some customers, since the nightlife xp seems to make sims stay on your lot longer.

I guess I decided to make the whole thing like a soap opera with the live-in love and kid at home and he can visit his "plaything" at night while the live-in and child are sleeping.

Vampires can just kill the sim w/out turning them into a vampire?

There is 2 versions the one I said gives you extras (vampire hunter) so you can have sims kill vampires too, or cure them by throwing holy water on them. I tend to use Vampires as assassins a lot in my game, its the easiest way to get rid of sims. Influence -> Bite Sim -> Vampire bite -> Kill sim :rip:

My vampire sims tend to be loners (my favorite type of vampire ;) ). They stay in all night and skill build and paint. I've also have used them to run businesses too...they are the best business owners you can have since they can work all night without their needs decaying. I'm with Ghanima, I don't like my vamps to have day jobs unless it is the Science or the Criminal career. I make excpetions for those because the top end of the career for both is a night job and both seem fitting enough for vampires, especially the Criminal career. But no, I too can't stand to see my vampire in a hotdog unifrom either. They are way too distinguished for that! :D

i play mine as knowledge sims because they have all of eternity to max out there skills. I play em kinda like the vamps are in the novels i read. Marius (anne Rice) is a painter. Jean Claude (Laurell K Hamilton - Anita Blake) owns alot of nightclubs and hes in love with Anita who is in love also with Richard a werewolf. Some vampires i play as really mean sims and i have like a Vampire Hunter or Hunteress who kills them if they get outta line. I try to only keep a few as vampires otherwise you get a whole neighbourhood full lol and thats just crazy.

Is it allowed for someone who has the mod currently to set it up on the site here? Until that magical day when the Graveyard is trimmed, watered, and reopened to the public, there will be many sad vampire fans loitering arouynd moping (me being one of them).

I played a fat slob and made him into a vampire and I also had a sim bitten by a vamp but then I changer her back. I also used insim to make one of my sims pregnant with twins by the count (jamie-Lynn spears ironically) Does anyone know where to get better skintones for vamps? Kindof like the twilight books by Steph meyer

Lately I have been thinking that senior vampires are the way to go. Get someone up to the top of the career path, age them, retire and then become a vampire. Then you don't have to face daylight and you get a steady income forever. Then I guess you'd play poker all night or something.

Actually, one of the main things I use my vampires for is for my other characters to have someone they can phone at 2 A.M. :)

--Some of my vamps run businesses -- Zena Storm just opened the Sweet Dreams Coffin Shop -- business is good because everyone needs a coffin, right? Victoria Goth (one of Alexander's daughters) runs Victoria Goth Curios & Antiques -- she's not too interested in running a business but is doing it as a favor for cousin Tristan (Cassandra's son) who needs it for fencing goods his criminal gang has stolen. Fernando Delama just opened a billiards parlor, mostly as an excuse to get out of the house. One of my other vamps is going to open an all-night coffeehouse/restaurant called "Midnight Bites".
--Quite a few are writers and artists. I use custom careers with night-time hours. Also some are scientists -- they make it to mad scientist fairly quickly and can work at night. A few have another custom career, working for the Zorek Foundation, founded by vampiress Maddie Zorek. It provides a wide range of services for my neighborhood's vampire community.
--Quite a few are romance sims which occupies a lot of their time and when all else fails, there's always yardwork. Most of my lots have a lot of trees and they can spend an entire night raking leaves without getting tired. My vamps have the nicest yards in town!

You don't suck :P. Try this:

1. Go on downtown at night and spend more nights on it or visit it everyday 'till Cont/Contesse shows up

If that not work.. I'm not an expert in vampirism but I can help you with contents or cheats (Even I don't cheat...)
