As I promised Bree here's some pics of her sims in my game. I made them all YAs and put them in a house at uni, and I made up my own backstories for each of them.

Presley and Bronwyn are best friends in my game. They just sort of clicked the moment they got out of the sim bin. Bronwyn's a tomboy-ish femme fatale who effortlessly toys w/the emotions of every guy on campus. It makes good fodder for the stories she loves writing so much. She also plays in a band with Dallas, which is how she met Presley. Presley's from Chinese old-money. She seems incredibly sweet but as her grandfather was a Chinese warlord she has more than a few tricks up her sleeve.

Soleil in my game is the cousin of Dallas & Presley, and half-French and half-Chinese. She's very dedicated to her work and is currently doing her MA in Psychology at uni. She feels that to be taken seriously she has to appear very hard-edged, hence her attire. But she's really a romantic girly girl at heart, as you can (kinda) see from the decor of her room. She also happens to be quite the violinist.

Dallas is still Presley's twin. He's quite athletic and seems to have inherited his grandfather's fighting skills. He's also inherited the Taoist respect for nature that is critical for any fully-realized martial artist. His predestined hobby in the game is nature and every once in a while he loves to just get away from modern life and disappear into the natural world.

I made him as an adult, then turned him into a YA so he can go to college. So this outfit is what he grew up to - not what I chose. What I chose was the brown professor outfit (He'll be the city's Education minister one day). But he's a romance sims - so the outfit suits him well in his young romance adventrues.

So of course I toddled off and downloaded her. And I was doing so well, too. I had beaten my sim downloading addiction. I have a bunch of Ferret's Spencers and Candace running around the neighbourhood now. And I made a bunch of Ll30 sims (from all the creators) into townies, too. I need a support group and a 12 step programme! Obviously beating my sim downloading addiction cold turkey didn't work.

And your game isn't all that dark. I've seen darker. It's just... contrasty. Yeah, that's the word to describe it. Contrasty.

I've never downloaded "other peoples'" sims into my game, but this forum really is encouraging me to look into it. Where do I find them? Is there a special site or something where you all hold your prescious and dear sims?
