Nicholas Liam Blackwell had never been rich. But, on the other hand had only become poor recently. From a very young age Nick had been forced to deal with living in near poverty, but it wasn't until he moved out on his own that he was forced to endure the harshness of having absolutely no money at all.

Ha. So much for his dreams. After his mother died, his father took to drinking himself to sleep. And so it was that, after a night with a bottle of Scotch, his father said to him,
"Son, I know that they been tellin' you at that school ah yers' that you can do whatever you wanna do. Don't listen ter that. I says you can only get whatcha already got, an that ain't nothing."

Nick had never listened to his father but, for some reason, this memory remained with him. During his teen years he'd believed that he could get rich, and had moved to Riverview to prove it.
"Riverview has some of the top businesses in the nation, I know that I can make it there." He'd told his father.
His father had been right.

He hadn't been able to get a job. He hadn't counted on needing experience, or at the very least a friend to put in a good word for him. He just stumbled into the main office and asked for a job application.
He looked for a job until all of his savings ran out, and he was forced to take up a job as a waiter at the local 50's diner. Yeah, he was really living the good life.
