View Full Version : WCIF an Accessory or Hat in a "U"-Like Shape...?

Greetings,

Here's another odd thing that I'm looking for. To be completely honest I don't believe such a thing even exists, and I've been looking for quite some time for something like this without any luck. I'd just make a 3D model of the thing myself but unfortunately I can't 3D model my way out of a paper bag... In other words, I suck at it even after close to two years of classes on MAYA. >>;;

I'll start at the beginning. I've been working on a little "Star Wars" film in The Sims 2 and for some of the scenes, which stars a B-Wing starfighter pilot, I'd like to have him wearing a B-Wing pilot helmet to be more canon (and an X-Wing helmet doesn't look good with the outfit anyway), but I highly doubt anyone has made a B-Wing pilot helmet for The Sims 2 seeing as even decent pictures of this helmet are few and far between.
So I thought maybe I could just find something that somewhat resembled the shape of it as an accessory or a hat/hair and I could just skin it to look like the helmet, but I haven't really found much as of yet. There is a cloth helmet in The Sims 2 already that resembles an AH-N-15 (http://www.partsofsw.com/images/ANH15si.jpg) WWII flight helmet so if I could find an accessory that fit over that I'd be set, or a hat/hair in a similar appearance.

I came here thinking maybe some of you might have an idea as to what I could use to create this. Like I said, I could use either an accessory in the basic "U" shape of the helmet that I could place with the cloth helmet in the game already, or a hat/hair style in a similar shape. I could than just skin and texture it for my use.

Here are some pictures of what the B-Wing pilot helmet looks like:
-Side 1 (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/msbillen/Rebel%20Pilots/B-Wing%20Pilots/B-Winghelmet2.jpg)
-Side 2 (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/msbillen/Rebel%20Pilots/B-Wing%20Pilots/B-WingpilotTenNumb5.jpg)
-Front (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/msbillen/Rebel%20Pilots/B-Wing%20Pilots/B-WingpilotTenNumb4.jpg) (breathing mask not needed)
-Various Shots 1 (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/msbillen/Rebel%20Pilots/B-Wing%20Pilots/B-WingPilotTenNumb2.jpg)
-Various Shots 2 (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/msbillen/Rebel%20Pilots/B-Wing%20Pilots/B-Winghelmet1-1.jpg)
-Close-Up (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/msbillen/Rebel%20Pilots/B-Wing%20Pilots/B-Winghelmet3.jpg) (orange face shield not needed)

As you can see it's a fairly simple "U" shape so I was hoping that maybe someone somewhere made something that resembles this shape and I could just skin it. Or perhaps there's something else I could use.

Hopefully I've explained myself well enough. But does anyone have any ideas as to what I could use and where I could download it?

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time. :)

Edit:
And one thing I forgot to mention when I made this post originally... They need to be wearable by adult males. Females would be great too, but males are what I mostly would like them for.

Parsimonious has a couple of bonnets that are kind of u-shaped. I don't know if they are unisex or not, though.

Those ones?
Unfortunately they're a little too different from what I'm looking for. They're a little too large on the top, as in they rise up a bit too high. It'd be hard to make them look right...
Though they might not be too bad if they were a little smaller/didn't go up so high off the head...

And yeah, I need them for adult males so I'd need them to be available for males and females or at least males only. I forgot to mention that in my original post. For some reason I always forget to mention that... ><

Well, I've continued to look... though really haven't found a whole lot. Surprisingly there isn't a whole lot of headgear that can also be worn by males, besides baseball caps. At least not that I've found.
I thought there at least might be something... but maybe not. >>;;
