Yep, there is a True Blood drinking coming out in September. And it will be called "Tru Blood" just like the real stuff (which isn't actually real)

It's packaging will be the same as the show.
But don't start wrinkling your noses. It's not blood.
Creator of the show Allan Ball says the drink is a fine mix of "wine, vodka, Vicodin, Viagra and ecstasy." Don't worry it's not actually made from that!
But it will actually be a blood orange soda.

Sounds good? Are you excited?

Heh, I might get a bottle just to have one. And not actually drink it. Put it with my Fallout 3 bobblehead and suchlike. Of course, I won't be able to find it -here- but I still find that amusing. And I -love- True Blood. :)

Pescado, hon, in the show/book it's not actual blood either. It's a synthetic product invented by the Japanese (originally intended for use in blood transplants). Once it was widely marketed and available, vampires announced they were real - no longer needing to feed on humans, they could come out into the open.

$4/bottle is pretty steep though. Better than the $45 per bottle in the hotel in Dallas where they're all staying in the show right now though... That spiteful little Jessica...

It is an amazing show. True Blood = Life. OK, I'm not that obsessed but still.
It circles around a barmaid named Sookie Stackhouse who fallls in love with a vampire named Bill Compton. Vampires can now join society after the invention of synthetic blood by the Japanese.
But most of the show is filled up with Jason (Sookie's brother) a... well... manwhore. That's probably the best way to describe him :lol: And Tara (Sookie's best friend) who loves Jason and has an alchoholic mother.
It's based on the books by Charlaine Harris.
