OK, long story...
I haven't even touched the game in weeks and that was the problem. I have all EPs and SPs except for FFS. Last one installed was University Life Collection (Uni/Ikea/Teen Style). I installed the Any Game Starter, intended to create some base game compatible houses, got bored and quit.
Tonight, forgetting I had used AGS, I went to load the game and all my neighborhoods were missing. The files were there but all I had was the option to create a new one. I uninstalled AGS, nothing changed. Tried to uninstall University Life but I got the error about having to uninstall EPs just like you get when you try to remove the base game. Next time I tried to uninstall, it wouldn't do anything. Brief hourglass, then nothing.
So I went the registry and removed all University, Sims2EP1.exe, and the stuff packs. Deleted University folders. Was able to successfully reinstall University Life. When I loaded the launcher, almost all of the Eps and Sps were greyed out like they weren't installed. They're all still installed and the folders exist.
I tried loading it up anyway but it crashes immediately after the opening animation ends. I deleted the EA Games folder it started to create, still crashed. I tried to bypass the launcher. This one doesn't have a shortcut like the others do.. Just Sims2SC.exe (store edition) and the launcher. Neither is working.
Any suggestions before I break down and reinstall everything?
