When a recolour is made of an object - you say on the recolour thread what mesh is required by giving the MTS thread URL (assuming MTS hosted mesh for this question) and the original mesh thread gets an automatic link to the recolour on the related pages tab.

I suspect this only works for the first mesh mentioned in a thread (there is space for 5 I think).

Example...

This thread is a recolour of both the following meshes (i.e. there are two 'matching' recolours hosted on the same thread).
one-tile version
two-tile version

The two-tile version has the backwards linkage correct, the one-tile version doesn't. I have waited 24 hours before reporting in case there was some off-line process that tied these together, but I think it is just broken?

Cheers

Sorry, I missed this thread. Thats an interesting problem - both threads have the "hasRecolours" flag set, and both threads exist in the meshes table... so I'm not sure why the one tile doesn't have the backwards link.

I'll look into it. :)

Okay I see the problem. Notice how in the Download tab, the old 2 tile has a box "This is a new mesh"? This doesn't exist on the one tile version (it has an objecttype of 0, usually indicating a TS3 item), hence why the backward link doesn't show up (it only checks if it exists in certain circumstances, and only when the objecttype is set).

The reason the new object doesn't have this flag setup is becuase it's in the Object Mods section, and the MRM (maxis recolour, recolour, mesh) option was turned off when we added Sims 3 uploads to the site.

I can go in and specifically enable it for that thread which should fix it up.

Thank-you - it works now.
