How do I disable it?

You don't. :)
The preview shows you the 2 most important things from a download: The description and the pictures. So it enables people to make a decision about whether or not to download/comment/thank etc without actually loading the download view itself.
To get to the download view either use the linked title at the top of the preview, the "click here" in the small text on the preview, or the "more..." link on the download browse pages.

Would you mind adding a way to disable it? It's just a lot of extra clicking for me, as I like to view the full page anyway. I think the picture preview is all we really need to decide whether to go to the download page or not.

You can click the "more..." text to go straight to the download.

There, I removed it from the thread title link and replaced the image thumbnail link with the download preview.
Note that I usually do things with the majority of users in mind.

Thanks Delphy.

If I had thought it wouldn't benefit the majority of users, I wouldn't have asked.
Thanks for the change. I think the thumbnail link is the perfect place for the quick preview.

I might put it back on the thread titles later on. I'm not entirely happy with how it works only on the thumbnail preview. :)

As long as the main page is accessible through the download browser one way or another, I'll be happy. (Not that you have to cater to me, of course. :)) I just never knew about the "more..." link until it was taken off.
