recolors for my tongue piercing alpha edit?

so i've been working pretty long and hard (no lie there) to produce four recolors for male teens, male adults, female adults, and female teens.
the adult ones are working for the elders. anyway, i need your suggestions about this.

for the blue one i've recolored, i noticed the shape is sort of.. diamondy? it's a little off. but i used the blue gradiant tool in paint shop pro 9 to make it blue.

the others appear to retain their 'round' ball shape, though.

as i know that there are more than one shape for tongue rings (namely, even diamonds. or a shape close to that. cones, i think?)

it doesn't look quite sharp enough to hurt the top of their mouths. :rofl:

but, if i submitted the upload with the tongue piercing looking like this for the blue one, do you think it would be accepted? or would you recommend that i look at it again and attempt to fix it?

as well as these recolors, i've edited the piercings out completely so now we have: just tongues! bloom get's all of the credit for this project, initially of course. but now we can have plain tongues in the sims 2 just like we have in the sims 3. the only thing is, i don't know how to convert it for children/toddlers. do you think this project should be uploaded, as well?

or do you think it might be too simple?

I think it looks great and I wouldn't think it would be too simple, I mean, if adding snow to trees counts, this should count as well. :) Very cool and I would love for my simmies to have lounges.

aww, thank you guys. i have to admit, i was expecting something a little harsh.


do you think the blue recolor is ready for upload right now, though? that was a big question.

what i did was basically editing the piercing off of the tongue that bloom originally made. i just don't want to alter his work too much and still upload it. but if you think it would be a good idea, then there's no hesitation.

i was thinking about how they do have tongues in the sims 3, and strangely their mouths are just full of black darkness in the sims 2. it creeped me out just a little. could you imagine not having a tongue?

to add the tongue, all you would need to do is find it in the glasses section and add it to new sims or existing ones. the child conversion thing is also still an issue.

I'm not sure if you know this, but the plain tongues for teens, adults and elders have already been done by Ghanima (http://ghanima-atreides.dreamwidth.org/14193.html). She hasn't made a child conversion though.

Yea, I think the blue is just fine. And I would upload the no piercings as well, even if it was kinda done before.
