(I moved this thread, this seems more appropriate)

Hi, I'm new, I'm not sure where this was supposed to go so I picked the one closest to what I was thinking of.

How to Combine Fences: Stacking

STEP ONE: Find an empty place where you wish you build the fence.

STEP TWO: Build foundation 1 tile away from where you will build the fence.

STEP THREE: Build the fence that will be on the bottom on the ground level, one square away from the foundation.

STEP FOUR: Build the fence that is on top in the same location, but one level up. Notice that the grid of the foundation extends one tile, allowing you to place the fence floating in the air, but in this case, it creates the illusion that the fences are stacked.

STEP FIVE: Erase the foundation.

And that's how to stack fences, my way. Here's some more examples of stacking fences. Some you can stack the same type to make the fence taller, or some you might want to try two types if you just need that extra bit of spikyness on the top to keep those nosy neighbors out.

Here you can see that you are able to build walls 1 square away from fences without hurting anything but the grid between the wall and fence. (It's too steep to place anything on now) You can also see that it's easy to place a gate. You can do this by erasing one section of fence on the top layer (so it doesn't fade into the gate) and simply placing the gate into the bottom layer as normal.
