If you want a short challenge and you've done the Messie Messlot Challenge by discordkitty, you might enjoy this. I created this challenge out of boredom and now I don't know if I should laugh or scream.

The Challenge: Create your own Messie Messlot.

I know this sounds simple, but for the impatient and creative, it's not too easy.

How to Start:
1. Look at the homes provided by EA. There are large and small homes for you to choose. Depending on how big a challenge you want, you can pick any size.

2. Move in a small group of sims. The group may be a family, or simply a large group of sims. You must have at least three sims (the more sims, the messier they shall be!).

3. Make the Lot as horrible as possible using decorating and your sims.

How do you know if it's a Messie Messlot? Look at these!

Messie Messlot Requirements:

1. Your yard must be filled with weeds (enough to keep your sims busy and must completely cover at least a quarter of your yard.

2. All plants (minus trees) must be in need of trimming or dead (this includes ALL garden plants). If you can keep leaves on the ground, even better.

3. BUGS (and we're not talking Lady Bugs either) are a MUST! Inside or Out.

4. The walls must be as ugly or as dreary as possible. Ugly wallpaper, drywall, horrible paint, and faded brick. If you can stick it to the wall, DO SO.

5. Read number 4. Put floor there instead of wall. Ugly floors. What else should be said?

6. Can you make doors and windows ugly? I don't see why not.

7. The furniture must be horrible. Don't go all gorgeous furniture for such an ugly place.

8. No maid? Good. The home must be as filthy as possible. Rotten food, garbage, dirty counters, sinks, stoves, grills, tubs, showers, and toilets should reign supreme.

9. Oops. No repairman either. Break everything that can be broken, including dishwashers, sinks, showers, tubs, and don't forgot to clog your toilets.

10. No helpful electronics. This means your home is now void of burglar and fire alarms. If it can put out a fire or stop a burglar, get rid of it (unless it's a pet).

But this would be too easy for experienced challengers. So we need these:

RESTRICTIONS:

NO CUSTOM CONTENT (If you want to make your lot even worse post-challenge with custom content, GO FOR IT!)

NO HELPFUL ELECTRONICS/CARS/ASPIRATION REWARDS

NO MONEY CHEATS

NO CHEATS EXCEPT THOSE SPECIFIED

The only cheat that may be used for the challenge is Moveobjects on/off.

To have money to change walls, floors, etc. your sims need to make money in anyway possible (except gardening).

Suggestions:
1. Try a smaller lot first. The yards take a while to do.
2. If you want a harder challenge, use Neat Sims.

Scoring:
I could set up a scoring system but I believe that the best way to score your home is to do the original Messie Messlot Challenge. If your poor Sim goes nuts right from the start...CONGRATS!
