I'm not just talking about making a simbot and turning it into an android, I'm talking about having a simbot (that's already an android) and turning it into a sim sim. Wha--? Wait. Is this the plot for Bicentennial Man? Ha ha... Nevertheless I want to know if this is possible.

There used to be a topic about this in the Ambitions section, but it was quite a while ago :D
As far as I know, if you have a mod that allows you to edit your sims in CAS (AwesomeMod, for example), you can bring your simbot back to CAS and give him/her a normal appearance. A simbot is nothing more than an elder sim, with charcoal skintone and simbot clothes/hair. Once in CAS, you can make the "elder" simbot a young adult or an adult (I guess making teens or kids is a bit of a risk, though), add an actual skintone and give the sim some normal clothes and hair, so that you'll have a 100% human looking simbot. However, editing the appearance doesn't make a simbot a real sim: once you come back to the game, the simbot will still move and act as a simbot... even if you take off the 'simbot' trait.
I think that the old topic also had some considerations on what exactly sets a sim to behave like a simbot, but I can't really remember what was said, sorry D:

Making a Simbot into a normal Sim is as simple as removing it's "Occult" status. Using either NRaas DebugEnabler or NRaas Master Controller you just remove the "Frankenstein" occult status from the Simbot and viola! Normal Sim.
I don't recommend it though... ...Underneath their Simbot shells they're fugly EA pod clones.

Thanks for the quick replies :) I've tried removing the occult status via the master controller mod but it just said the script couldn't be done. I already have my simbot looking like a regular sim, in fact I'm using her picture as my avatar right now. The reason why I want a way to make my simbot into a real sim is becuase I want to use her genes in my sim's family tree but I don't want the children to be Simbots also. If I save my simbot in CAS then open her up when I create a new family would she still be a simbot?

What's the difference between SimBot and Android?...

An android is a robot meant to look human (technically, a human male - a female "android" is called a "gynoid"). Robot inside, human-looking outside.
