I'm not too bothered, but how do EA make their meshes? What program(S)? Their meshes are totally amazing! I'm doubting milkshape, 'cause the cylinders in milkshape are so square! (Just saying!) And just for once I want too make a "smooth" mesh... :help:

Probably mostly Maya, based on some prerelease pics they did for TS2. But it takes a lot of skill to make a good game mesh in whatever program you're using - it's more about learning exactly where to use polygons for the best effect; many beginners using more "advanced" programs like Blender, Maya, and 3DS Max that can go higher-poly tend to use waaaay too many polygons and create laggy meshes that aren't good for games.

Thanks! I might try some of those programs! Thanks HP!

It's important to remember that good software isn't guaranteed to make good game meshes (or even good meshes for anything). Any meshing tool can make smooth objects if you know how to use it, that has nothing to do with the program.

Some programs, like Maya, have a nicer interface, or automate things in a more helpful way, or provide different tools to get to that end result, but it's a bit like painting. You can buy the best paints and canvas and brushes and still end up with something underwhelming, or you can buy poster paint and butchers paper and end up with a work of art. It's mostly down to skill and practice (and a bit down to talent).

If you just want to make smoother meshes, you might be better off trying some advanced tutorials for your tool of choice, rather than shelling out thousands for something like Maya. :)
