View Full Version : Problem with bridgeport.sims3 file

I have been having loading issues when I select a sim to play. The household loads, but never zooms in to play. The camera stays in the cityview, and has the zoom icon in the upper right corner. The controls at the bottom all disappear, and the only keyboard keys that work are Q -quit, and any panning keys (tab < > + -).

I have fully read the Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem page. I deleted Cache files, removed custom content, and found what I believe to be my problem when removing the user files. When I put the old save files back into the new TS3 file individually, the bridgeport.sims3 file is the one that creates the problem.

The "Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem" page gives no further advice on what to do after the problem user file is located. When I remove the file, Bridgeport is obviously a new, untouched neighborhood, and when I replace it, all saves return, but It won't let me play a household. Any advice?

Thank you in advance. :)

Sims 3 - Invisible Sims and/or User Interface Issues
If you are experiencing issues with Missing Sim(s) and / or User Interface Issues see the Game Help:UI and Sim Issues Guide,
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please post in the [Common] Missing Sims and/or User Interface (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=411005) Sticky.

If you find one of your saved games is causing the issue, then you need to remove it or not use it anymore. Doing so will only lead to further problems. It's likely that your saved game has become corrupted and no longer playable. You could try to use the backup, for that saved game, to see if it loads properly and is playable or not - Game Help:Restoring Backup Saves

Otherwise, if you continue to try and play the corrupted save game, you will end up with one or more of the problems listed in the Invisible Sims and/or User Interface Issues listed in the guide above.
