Custom Music Question

So I've noticed this for a long time now, not just Generations, but it seems like when I go to play my custom music from my stereo it's so much quieter than the other stations, even with the volume turned on high. Is this happening with anyone else and if so, has there been any sort of mod to help this?

When I get to play my custom music, it did sound just like I was playing outside the game (I almost thought something else was playing beside TS3). Of course the volume would subside when my camera moves farther out. That is my own experience with custom music.

It could be the quality of the MP3. Did you convert it from a different type of file before putting it in Custom Music folder?

I am extremely grateful for this mod! I have spent hours trawling the net to try and find something that would dort this problem out for me and no luck whatsover. I'd almost given up on this and was about to buy an ipod speaker dock and just play my music outside of the game when I decided to give it one more go at looking for a solution and found this

It was an issue in Sims 2 as well. It's a known issue to the techs as I've told them about it every time I have had to call for other issues. I didn't know there was a mod to fix it, however. It has been an issue since base game for me.

Just had to come back to say, once my sim had wired the house for speakers this mod worked :)
