Why does the game lag when a witch is showing up on a Comm. Lot?

Although I figure that this is a normal thing, why does it lag your game when a witch is about to show up on your community lot? At first I was thinking that the game was generating a new witch every time, but when I checked it doesn't. Is this really a normal thing? My game usually doesn't have any problems about lag, except rare occasions, or I'm on a huge lot, so it kind of bugs me that EVERY SINGLE TIME they come my computer freezes up for like 5-10 seconds.

Thanks for the link! I had been a little weary about downloading it because I always thought, "Well, what if I wanted a Sim of mine to become a witch?" Though, it just occurred to me that all I have to do is use the Mailbox on Boolprop to bring them to the lot. Plus it always bugged the crap out of me that they would come and put roaches on my sim-owned businesses, and then not even buy anything!

Or you can do what I do and just shoot her when she shows up.

Ugh, I know. My business owners have lots of "Vermin!" memories because of them dropping by to drop their shit. Curse you Frances McCullough!

It's the aura when she arrives that causes the lag. The animation is several stories high so you can imagine it would make your graphics card work. It's spectacular to look at though.

If I can go rude, I'll say,"Have a PC like me, so you don't get any lag when they come!"

But, I don't have PC like that T_T

Yeah, I think it's a hardware issue. If you're using an older desktop computer or any laptop, the graphics card will probably have to do a lot of thinking before the witch and all her flashy sfx appear.

I never have this problem, and I play with all settings on high. Witches appear every night at my Sim's community lot. It has to be your computer.

I talked to some of my friends who also play Sims that they also get the same problem. Though, the problem is that we're not all rich and have enough money to buy new computers, sadly. :( Even though I'm *hoping* for a new one this Christmas, I'll have to live with my crap-tastic graphics on my laptop. Never really thought that the lag would be a graphics lag, but considering everything else is way over the minimum requirements, I'm not surprised at all.

I got sick of it so I downloaded the hack that a previous poster linked to. I'm not going to make any of my Sims witches, anyhow.
