Hey everyone,
Here's a house that I'm stuck on. The windows, roof, and master bedroom balcony are bothering me. Also, I tried putting an umbrella in the middle of the table out on the side of the house, but every time I exit and reenter the game, the umbrella disappears. :wtf:

Note that the cupboard's not actually functional. Oh, the magic of cheat codes :)

Thanks! I'm taking a look at the link right now.
UPDATE: Even with cheats I can't get the CC gazebo to work properly, probably because the outdoor table and chairs are at a 45 degree angle. The gazebo ends up automatically attaching itself to the table, thus making it float. Should I change the angle of the table/chairs?

I really like this, its got nice clean lines and is well built, loving the cupboard too :) With the balcony maybe pop a column under it so it dosnt look like its suspended in midair. Can I be a pain and ask you take off the gridlines for a better photo? I have a feeling you may need a little more landscaping in front just to give it that extra wow factor and also maybe a few more furnishings to use up all the space! Otherwise great job!

Oh, gridlines! Totally forgot about that! lol sorry, I'll retake the pics once my bro's done with the gaming computer. I'll try putting some trees; I wanted small palm trees, and I have a few, but they look weird. Oh, and I'm still furnishing the house. The upper story is next.

I tried adding landscaping, but I'm stuck. After going through several flowers and bushes, I don't know what else to do with the landscaping! Any ideas?

Alright, I'll try that. (Thankfully I have M&G.) My selfish brother just kicked me off the gaming computer, so I'll probably end up waiting hours till I get back on.

Does this look okay? I think the rose bush suddenly just interrupts the marigolds.

What about these? Should I extend them so that they're touching the walls? The flowers go through the walls, though.

I want to wait for more feedback from other people, first, to balance it out and all.
Plus, I have to furnish the upper story and guest room.

Needs more variation in the terrain painting. There are plants that need more dirt/mulch under them, and pathways that should have some wear in the grass. A small line of dirt/mulch around the outside edge of the house and fence.
The roof needs some work. Most of the roofs are not connected and have gaps between them. And the side entrance roof should have the same pitch as the one it's next to. A darker grey would look better since right now it's over powering in all the same shade.

Well as far as the plants near the driveway go . Why not use snapobjectstogrid and place them off grid wherr they won't cut into the wall. Also try combining the M&G flowers with some other flowers.
Oh and by the way . Welcome back Lavaster :). Havent heard or seen you in a age or two

the roof looks was too busy and just mashed together, play with it so it all looks better, also the house itself looks way too big, i would suggest making it maybe 1 square smaller on every side of the house.

I actually like the roof lines because they add architectural interest and forces you too look at the roof for once which normally I glaze over.
My one question is why is there a door in the staircase? Is it suppose to mimic a coat closet beneath the staircase? Cute touch aesthetically for photo op but playability it doesn't really add much.
Landscaping looks fine to me. Then again if I were to download houses from here most of the landscaping I would have to rip out and redo to my taste. Don't know why they require it for uploads.
And about the combining flowers thing I would skip. It's twice the watering because you have to hope that they all get watered without trying to zoom in to click on the second bed to get it watered as well.
Overall great job, a little big for my playstyle but greatly pleasing aesthetically.

Looking very good, the column I meant under the balcony to hold up the floor though :) See you've used a small lof fence line along the path to the back, what about keeping it going along the path at the front?

I tried the Auto Roof to see what it would look like. Because of the structure of the house, (Half one-story, half two-story) only two tiny roof pieces appear. So definitely crossing auto-roof off XD
Should I change the roof texture? Here are some that I found:

http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh282/Lavaster/house22.png
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh282/Lavaster/house23.png
I have all EP's, plus M&G, Teen Style, and IKEA, in case you know of other roof textures that might look nice.
As for landscaping, should I put a dirt "trim" on the pathways and fence like this?
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh282/Lavaster/house24.png
Also, I tried moving the balcony column underneath the balcony, but it looked weird.
I added some dirt under more of the plants, should I keep it?
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh282/Lavaster/house26.png
Should I put fence here, like this?

This is a nice, big house. I like the look of it with the blue roof. I agree with what HugeLunatic said about the terrain paint. A path from door to mailbox would make sense and maybe some by the door to the gazebo?
The inside of your house is huge and spacious, yet the kitchen is tiny! I think you should increase the size, especially since it looks like sims might get each others way while cooking.

Kitchen's bigger.
Also, I moved the mailbox and garbage can right next to the main house's pathway. (The one that leads to the door.) Also, I put terrain paint under the other gate, picture coming soon. I didn't like when I made a trail/path, though, so I removed that.

Should I remove the shrubs by the garage door?
