I've always been inspired by Gilbreth family, and deep down I’ve always yearned for that large close nit family, but I guess everyone wants that which they don’t have. That is why I decided to make a Sims Challenge around them. I mean we’ve had everything from 100 to 24 but has anyone just tried to go an even dozen before any of them reach adulthood?

I understand you would need an overstuffed mod for this, there’s no other way to complete it unless you had two households at a time, but still.

So here’s the challenge!

Have and Raise twelve! That’s right Twelve, kids from babies to teenagers, with all of them with at least a “B” Average (given a little brake there).

(If you have Generations) Make them part of extra curricular activities as well as jobs for teens. (This should make it harder if you want more of a challenge)

(All kids and teen must have these achieved by the time the eldest becomes a young adult) With at the least two set of twins!

Note: It is allowed to have at least two children not old enough to go to school (but no more!

You must have at least one parent working at all times, and may never switch jobs once they’re employed they’re in it for the long hall! You may not hire a butler, to care for the kids! You must do that yourself! You may hire a maid to clean up the house thou if you have the money.

You may not cheat, except in a dispirit attempt to preserve live.

And more importantly have fun! I’ve not started this yet but in the processes of it.

If you have trouble with names here are two sites you can use!
The Gilbreths (http://cheaperbelles.tripod.com/tree.html)
http://monsterhunter.coldfusionvideo.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Cheaper-By-the-Dozen-2.jpg
Or if you want more Fictional,
The Bakers ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0349205/combined)
http://www.billmumy.com/mumy/liliana/film/cheaper/2003_cheaper_by_the_dozen_FAM%20PIC.jpg

Or you kno create your own names! *Preferred*

So how do you like my idea?

PS. Just remembered some major flaws I forgot!

First you create a couple in CAS, traits, names, can be anything then you move them into the largest empty lot as you will need the space. You then use your fonds to build the start of the house and start having babies... lol

Do you know offhand where I can find a mod to allow that many sims? I see you referenced something about an "overstuffed mod" that I'm not familiar with. Can you help me out? :) Sounds like an interesting challenge!

This is a "sort of" similar challenge: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=434753
I like yours better though.

If you're not adverse to mods that have more functions than just increasing your household number, then:

Awesome Mod: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15185.0.html
Master Controller: http://www.the-isz.com/nraas/index.php?/topic/866-the-mastercontroller-phase-four-version-63-translated-2011-oct-02/

Both allow for the functionality of assigning household for more than 8 sims. Read everything about both at their respective sites to see which one you want, or if you want them at all.

Just to clarify; is it against the rules if we wish to have the children home-schooled? Or do they absolutely have to go to public school?

I'm okay either way, I'm just used to doing the home-school route as it allows for the kids to actually build relationships on their own without making random friends with kids at school. *shrug*

this is going to be harder than it sounds...I can tell. can we do it without the overstuffed mod?

@GigaRevival: of course you can make them home schooled, it wont change the way you play in any major way. The only thing I'd advise is not to enroll the kids into boarding school, as it would kinda defect the adjective.

@ mad2dend: You can but it would be much harder, cause all the kids have to be under the age of young adult at the same time. The only way I think you can get around it is if you make two house holds one with the dad and on with the mom and place all the older kids in the one and younger in the other. (if that makes sense)
