Its about to drive me insane!! It has done it THREE times now at random times in my game. I am getting sick of starting back at the SAME PLACE every time. I guess this is what I get for buying an expansion when it first comes out, lol. Anyone else sympathize???

I'm having the same problem and it's infuriating. I've adjusted everything that could be causing it but I'm at the point where I think it's just the copy of the game itself. Complete waste of money.

It really is!! And I dont seem to be finding too many people with this problem. Are we seriously the only 'lucky' ones? Ugh! I downloaded mine off Origin.

I've also tried playing different neighborhoods to see if Appaloosa Plains could be the problem, but it wasn't. I'm going to uninstall and do a fresh, vanilla game install of The Sims 3 and all the expansions right now and see if that works. Maybe installing it with the CC still in the folder messed it up? Idk, but I'll let you know how it turns out...

I have same problem, but if you keep saving let's say every fifteen minutes (real life minutes!), the game doesn't crash. If I forgot to save and I play about an hour, the game will crashs.

Except that my game won't even make it to 5 minutes.

Are you sure it isn't overheating and have you tried to do DEP? More info: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Crash_workarounds

I've done the DEP and mine crashes in live play every time - so annoying

my pc tells me I have a DEP issue but the Ep and launcher are added to the exceptions - driving me crazy as i have started a new job and have limited simming time

You may also want to check whether you have any elder Raccoons or Deer in your town.

The outfits for those sims are busted, and were crashing the game-engine on my partner's setup until we deleted them.

You can check using MasterController, and then annihilate them. Find the mod via the link in my signature.

A fresh install seems to have done the trick for me. I've been playing for almost 2 sim days now with no problems. I'll get rid of the elder deer and raccoons just to be safe though. :P

If you're like me, its horses crashing your game. Anything horse-related (objects are fine though) will crash my game. This includes making a horse, a horse spawning anywhere, or opening a household that has a horse.

I've been having the same problem. I'm glad, but sorry, to know that I'm not the only one. Hopefully EAxis will get the hint and fix it soon. It can't be CC or mods in my game as I don't have any.

Also having the crashing problem but like gelis, if I save every 15 minutes or so, the game doesn't crash. I've noticed that it crashes a lot for me if I've been paused for an extended period of time.

Yeah, it was working perfectly fine for me and then it crashed again. I think I'm just going to uninstall it.

Not having crashes, but having a ton of glitches ever since I installed this expansion.

Like my sims are all misaligned now when doing certain things. Like sitting in the hot tub for example, they float above it instead. Sitting in chairs, they sit behind it and float in air. My cat changes sizes when he is idle. Like he'll walk around normally and look normal, but when he stops walking he shrinks and gets all mashed up. None of my doors open anymore, sims just walk through them as if they weren't even there.

All this started happening once I installed this expansion. So no idea if it is out-dated mods or just a buggy expansion.

Discussion - Sims 3 Game Problem
Remember, as the message said that displayed before you posted your thread...

If you're having any problem, issue, error, or glitch with your game, that's a job for MTS's Help section. There's both articles with common issues as well as Q&A support forums where you can ask questions and get specific help.

Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem

Try that first - every step, in order, and don't skip anything! Even if it doesn't say your specific problem, try it anyway, as it's a good starting point to rule out the most common causes of game issues.

If you still have trouble, you can post a new thread in the Help Q&A forums. There's a link to the Help Q&A forums at the top of every FAQ in the Help section. If you do post there, make sure to read and follow the directions that will display before you post there!

Good luck, and happy simming! :)
