View Full Version : Small/odd things that gives you insane amount of joy?

I have a buttload somewhat weird little things that makes me very, very happy if I encounter them.
For example, when I vacuum (which is very rare though) and there are rocks that the vacuum sucks and it makes that tinkle sound! It is so awesome!
My brains can barely handle the pleasure!
Another example is when I look my clock at night and it shows something like 22:22 or 23:45 or the best 01:23. It's like looking in a thread where emino (http://www.modthesims.info/member.php?u=17065) have not spammed pictures of himself. Jk, jk! or Am I?
So, please, share your bits of insanity with me. I'm not the only one who has fixations for things like these.

When you decide to go through a yellow light and the guy behind you goes too.
At least sometimes I feel that way when I’m caught in a yellow-light staredown and suddenly find myself death-gripping the wheel while I make that split-second decision to fly through or slam the brakes. It’s very stressful. If you’re like me sometimes you’re in the middle of the intersection when you suddenly think: “Oh shit… I shouldn’t have gone". When that happens it’s always satisfying to see the car behind you come through the intersection too. I mean, you thought you were pushing it, but just look at that guy! And suddenly your move is totally justified and police officer’s job is a whole lot easier.

Yeah, I agree. My little dog has really soft fur on his chest for some reason nowhere else and my sister's has the most velvety soft ears. Its like touching softness.

I find joy in having my sims downloads kept to a minimum. I like to download a lot, but then I find joy pruning the excess out. Odd I know. I also find joy in finding some interesting custom content with downloaded sims from the exchange. Sometimes amidst all the bloat there is some CC that I have never seen before.
I found one of my favorite piece of custom hairs on a really sad ugly sim on the exchange. For a long time, I kept the sim around, just for the hair, since if I uninstalled him, the hair went too.

If it were OCD, it wouldn't be a joy to just happen to have it that way. With OCD it would HAVE to be done that way and would be a source of great anxiety if it were done any other way. He/She wouldn't feel like he had 'won the game', just a huge relief that it was done correctly. :report:

Just watch out for the oh so loverly lead poisoning.
I love finding little hole-in-the-wall restraunts that have AMAZING food, the kind you usually expect to find in a 4 star place. There is a pizza place by me that has HORRIBLE pizza, yet the penne a-la vodka and the linguini con vongole could give Marea a run for its money. Same with an oreintal tak-out place, some of the best egg drop soup, and pad thai I've ever had.

Having a book that's just the right weight to read with one hand.
A foggy morning when there's no traffic around.
Driving on a motorway.

Drinking coffee in a car.
Rain on a windscreen.
Rivers. I don't know why but I love them.

- Stretching. It feels sooo good!
- Feeling the warm sun touching my face on a brisk Fall morning.
- A lazy afternoon lounging on the couch, when sunlight flows through the blinds making a pattern on my bare white walls, illuminating the Dracaena plant in the corner of the room.
- Watching the ground turn white when snow falls for the first time in the year.
- Being the first to make tracks on a deep snow-covered road in my car.
- Every time I hear Christmas bells, and picture in my mind a hazy/dreamy image of golden Christmas bells with red bows reflecting in incandescent lighting.
- Looking closely at all the little fuzzy hairs on my African Violet, and then looking closely at its little flowers and realizing the petals sparkle in the sunlight like glitter.
- Walking by an attractive female college student and she makes eye contact and gives me a warm smile.
- Learning that someone I respect has the same political and/or religious views as I do.
- That one time when a really cute high school girl walked with me and asked me what grade I am in (I was so tickled that I looked young enough for a cute high school girl to think I was anywhere near her age).
- When someone on the interwebs agrees with me, because that almost never happens.
- Encountering a condescending know-it-all, and then handing him his ass by proving him wrong.
- Having my work complimented by someone I respect.
- Learning one of my projects has made me sort of internet-famous.
- Getting a package in the mail or on the porch from UPS/Fedex.
- Overcast Fall afternoons when all the leaves are still on the trees, in various shades of reds, yellows, and oranges.
- Whenever there's a rainbow and the sky is stormy on one side, sunny on the other, with the sunlight an odd shade of yellow.
- Taking a walk on a quiet night and smelling someone's barbeque.
- Popping a zit, and getting results.

-Simply finishing something and feeling a sense of accomplishment.
-The smell just after it rains
-Getting a good haircut and feeling super hip.

When I watch a video on youtube or I'm listening to a song or anything really that shows what time you're at.. when the time goes either 1:00, 1:01, 1:11, 1:21, 1:23, and so on and so forth or if I'm listening to a song on itunes and y'know how you can set it to show you how far into the song you are AND how much left of the song you have? I love when you're in the exact middle and both sides say the same thing... like 2:05 minutes in and 2:05 minutes left...
Also making a joke and people laughing at it and you're just sitting there basking in your hilarity

Oh my gosh yes!!!!!! It hasn't been that long for me, but check out this pic I drew. I am proud of it!!!
Anyways, more joy is when I wake up on Saturday, truly believing it's Monday again, and then figuring out that it's only Saturday!!! ( I hate Mondays, because I have math on Mondays, and I am not a math person. Seriously, I was doing math all day, I'm in ninth grade and I have a headache from math) I love the feeling I get when I see the picture of the (fictional) guy I like, I'm all embarrassed, and I feel like I'm all excited to the point I'll explode with joy, and I blush... it's fun. Oh and I love walking around barefoot in my house. It makes me feel all brave because I know I'm not about to step on anything that will stab me in the foot. That and I hate socks with a passion. I love sandals.

Okey for me there are soooooo much things i could write a book about... So this is a Forum and not a Page of a Book unfortunately..
The following things are.... just some kind of "Nerv-Orgasm" for me :giggler: :
- Taking a hot bath while it rains outside and I can hear the Raindrops (This is just... get try this out!)
- Wake up at the Vacations in the Hotelroom and I can hear the citynoise and tumults (Ya' I know some people gives everything for NOT hearing this in the morning)
- Take a walk in the middle of the Night for just to smell the superfresh and clean air outside with just some sounds in the far (You know that? uuhh....)
- Drinking some beer or cocktails with friends, hang around, with Boomblasting-loud music (Get the couch-potato-Party startin')
- The Feeling when you are sneezing and sneezing and it gets no end, and finally you blow your nose as hard as you can (strange huh? just got it 1minute ago)
- Listen to Lady GaGa, it makes me feel like... dancing like a idiot as stupidly as I can (or as good as you can IF you can..)
- Eat some Potato Chips and Chocolate (Yes! Together everything in the mouth at the saaaame tiiiime, chew and enjoy!)
- To have your Honey in your arms while falling asleep (So Boombtastic)
So I will stop the list here :deal: (As I said I could write a Book about it but I wont)

1. Waking up in the morning to your hubby combing back your hair with his hands because he loves you(and not because he wants something)
2. Walking into the laundry room after using Lavender scented softener.
3. Smelling your hands after loading wet clothes into the dryer.
4. Waking up to wet kitty nuzzles
5. That smooth feeling on your teeth after a good brushing
6. Going for an eyebrow wax and hair cut/style and walking out feeling like a rockstar
7. The smell when you first open a container of coffee
8. Seeing the face of a person you just gave a gift to
9. Walking around with ear buds in and having theme music to your life
10. When I hold my kitty up and he kneads the air with his little paws
I could go on. When you finally start taking medication for depression, alot of things give you insane amounts of joy. :)

When something mentions something I know about or describes me. It doesn't sound like it makes sense, just trust me. It's AWESOME.
For example: I recently downloaded a new name replacer, and one of the head vampiresses had my middle name (as a first name, of course) and my middle name is pretty uncommon, so I got all excited and moved her in. Then I killed her.
Another example: When I come home and my roommate is watching a Matt Dillon movie. I freak out. Seriously. Or if I'm at one of those places that shows movies in the waiting room (spec. Hospitals) and a Matt Dillon movie comes on! I yell at everyone to shut up, but inside I'm happy.
