I'm trying to create my first objects and i have completed them with autodesk 3ds. but when i try to load them on tsr workshop it says that the groupcount does not match (usually i get 9 groupthings even if the object is a simple square ) then i tried to convert objects and i get them fully textured into milkshape BUT OBVIOUSLY the groupcount (9) never matches :faceslap:
how can i change the objects groupcount? or simply is there an object that already has 9 groupcounts?

PLEASE help me or i'm gonna throw my pc down from the balcony!

The group count is as it sounds, how many separate groups there are. All you need to do is combine them.
To do this in Milkshape, selecte, by face, everything you want grouped then under the Groups tab, click Regroup. You must have the same amount of groups on Import as there are in TSRW.

Alternatively, you can add more groups in TSRW by right clicking on the group name (Group 0, Group 1) under the mesh tab and selecting Duplicate Group. Do this until the amount you need is reached.

You have to right-click on exactly the right line/entry/column etc. Try opening stuff out and clicking different levels of the group hierarchy till it appears :D

A little later: Ok I tried it out myself. The line to right-click on is where it says "Group 0" or "Group 1" etc. Then a small menu appears and you should choose "Duplicate". This will use a copy of the selected group to make an extra group.

i tried to unistall tsr and reinstall the most recent version and now it works but now my objects appear to be laying on one side instead of standing. i guess i should rotate them in milkshape once i convert them from 3ds max, i did anyway put one in the game :) eccept this problem now it appears to have the same color of the object i cloned instead of its texture  i gotta work on this

Yes, Y is up and Z forward. It should still be using the default textures as you have to change the textures yourself.

thanks you have all been so usefull :) i am reall close to ending my first creation. in the meantime i tried changing an objects size in milkshape and i succesfully did it and got it in the game working fine. the only problem is that it dissapears when you leave the lot instead i want it to be a deco building just like rabbitholes, is there a way to make it stop disappearing? :)

as i was saying i had some problems with objects texture but now i'm starting to understand how it works.
and i think the milkshape plugins are the same and are not a problem so i dont have to change em :)
