Hey, guys.
I am a very proud Icelander and I want my sims to have Icelandic names. Thing is, I can't seem to make the keyboard keys necessary available on The Sims 2. They work in all other applications, The Sims 3 included.
Back when I had a PC, I managed to do this, so I know it's possible in The Sims 2. I don't remember how I did it, and even if I did I doubt it'd be of much use.
I'm trying to enable keyboard keys like ´, þ, æ and ð (þ is pure Icelandic, æ is Scandinavian and ð is used in Iceland and Faeroe Islands, though the latter do not pronounce it like we do).
Not being able to enable ´ doesn't just make Icelandic names impossible to use, many French and Spanish names (for example) also use it, and I like French names, they're so pretty!
I have tried changing my Macbook's settings to pure Icelandic keyboard, but it doesn't work in The Sims 2, and it is impossible (at least for me) to go down to desktop from inside the game itself.
Do you have any advice for me?
Thanks in advance.
Yours always,
Mai
