View Full Version : Is Bridgeport slow running because it's huge? Or is it buggy?

I have almost no CC except for Twallan mods and a few TFM tweaks. Everything runs perfectly fine with no lag and no issues -- except Bridgeport.

Bridgeport lags insanely. Even when I destroy all of the NPCs and totally empty it, it lags like you wouldn't believe. When I go into a bar, I can't tell if it crashes or lags because it runs so slowly I can't even make it to the bouncer before I give up and force a quit.

I just wondered if the problem was that Bridgeport is so huge? Or are there special features in Bridgeport not found in other worlds that make it lag like I don't know what...

Bridgeport has bad routing, sims get stuck, performance funnels. I just reviewed it (http://pasimficandbeyond.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Kiwi_tea/Review:_Bridgeport_by_EA). ellacharm3d has fixes for the issues in the MTS downloads section, search for "routing".

I have had numerous problems with this one. I had a few problems with World Adventures but whenever I installed Late Night and began playing Bridgeport, it seemed as though I was crashing a LOT more than ever before and seemingly without good reason. I could never figure out why the game was crashing. In the past, I've been pretty good at figuring these things out and stopping them then fixing them. Not this one.

This EP seems to just gradually run slower and slower until one day it crashes in the middle of your game disallowing you to salvage ANYTHING in your game. There are very few fixes that work and just tonight there was an automatic update waiting for me whenever I ran the game that caused some pretty funky problems with my sim's mood meters not being available and then upon leaving the home lot, the active sim was not available nor were the save/quit/save & quit options.

Totally buggy...
