Why can't we see rain through the windows????

Does anyone else find it strange that even with the Seasons expansion pack you can't see rain through the windows if you are looking outside from inside your sims home?
I searched everywhere hoping there is a resolution to this issue...but nobody seems to have made a mod for it! =[

BtW...I never ever get tired of my sims...i love this game so much. I may get bored after a month or two...but with the addition of new mods...it always draws me back in. the possibilities are so endless!!

I've noticed this too. My assumption was that the rain is not rendered if the camera is considered "inside" the house. Otherwise it might look like it was raining inside the house. I could be wrong though.


I don't know if a mod for that is possible. If it's hard-coded, then then answer is most likely "no."

Indeed; rain is only rendered right in front of the camera, the game doesn't have the ability to make it look like it's far away.
