Now that I know how to use Milkshape I want to create more interactions for kids. What would you like to see? :D
I'd love to create a child playing with a hula hoop. ;)

Go spend and afternoon on the playground; I bet you'll get lots of inspiration.

How about: taking stairs two at a time; additional show-offs (currently we have Cartwheel, Somersault, and Stand on Head; consider The Splits and some more acrobatic/tumbling moves); "I'm not touching you;" Keep Away (probably the most annoying thing a big kid can do to a little one; it's a pretty close call between this and "I'm not touching you."); being an airplane.

You know how to create custom animations? My understanding is that is VERY difficult and I've seen only one Simmer really attempt it (Rebecah). Are you sure you know how to import them into the game? I would, of course, be thrilled if you can give us new animations, that would be a feat, but I shall humbly reserve my excitement until I see them.

As to your question, hopscotch would be cool...

It is not VERY difficult. It just requires a lot of patience. I have created two animation boxes and imported them to the game. If you follow xxBrokenEmoAngelxX tutorial on Custom animations you'll see that it is not that difficult. :)

For my Sims 2 Exorcist novel miniseries I need to create a lot of custom animations such as the spiderwalk and I have nearly finished all the frames of it. I also created a spanking interaction lol.. I know spanking is controversial but there is a scene on Chapter 3 of The Exorcist novel/first draft in which Chris gives Regan a spanking.
Here's a snapshot: ;)

Spider swinging. Banana swinging. Jump ropes. Hopscotch. More animations to play with dolls and teddy bears (brushing their hair, dressing and redressing) A baby doll kids can take care of. Anyone pushing anyone on the swing. Mothers brushing/braiding/pigtailing hair. Tea party. Drawing with chalk.

Hold baby--maybe using some of the 'carry' animation.

Sitting down with a baby. Or...ooh! ooh! Sitting up in bed holding a baby as if the baby was just born and the mother is holding her for the first time.

Sometimes kids need a good spanking. I mean, I've seen a video of this fat piece of trash slapping his mum in the face. If I were to do that kinda crap my butt would be all shades of purple and oh man I don't know if I would even WANT to know just how much trouble I would be in for doing that to my parents. My mum and dad didn't take any crap, and even though I disagreed with several things they did, they were doing what they thought was right, to protect me from getting in trouble as an adult. As long as spanking ain't done to release anger, I think it's fine. It should be done for the purpose of correcting dangerous behaviour and defiance, not to in effect say 'I'm bigger than you so I get to take out my anger by making you cry.'

Edit: *lols at the disagrees*

I agree with Sunbee. I would love to see child sims take care of their baby and toddler. It would be nice if they could hold them, snuggle them, and feed them a bottle.

I can only make animation boxes, I don't know how to add a "hold baby" menu action when you click on the Sims. :(

Well, you could make animations that work /while/ holding the baby.

Yes but it's not possible (as far as I know) to have two models in Milkshape and do an animation together. For the spanking interaction I had to animate the Sim Mom and daughter individually. I don't see any Ms3d file for babies. :(

Oh! You mean poses! Okay, now I understand. I was thinking an animation that causes the Sim to move through or interact with the game world. But yes, a pose box is very handy to storytellers and movie makers.

Anyone pushing anyone on the swing.
That's already in the game though it might not be a selectable action.

Lying on the floor to draw. I'm always tripping over my daughter when she does that. Also, amusingly ridiculous dancing.

I didn't know kids could push other kids, or attempt to push teenagers. Ok then.

No, no, I make the poses animated. ;)
I'm going to work on more "show off" options now. It's easier than creating a Hopscotch animation but I really want a hopscotch animation too.

Boiling Oil made a hack here http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/thread-2095.html for children to get bottles for toddlers. I have it in my game but haven't hit a house with a chance to use it to see how it looks.

Yes, especially since a child could hold a baby in real life, and do more interactions with toddlers than the game allows. Plus if children could take care of babies, big families would be that much easier because if toddler is crying and the only sim awake is a child, you don't need to wake up a parent or teen!

I wonder if it's possible to clone the Japanese tea ceremony table and extract the animations for a kids tea party table.
BTW, jump ropes came with Apartment Life EP. ;)

It'd be cool to see stuff such as typing interactions for the computers (I am due to shoot a kids computer lab scene for a flashback) and maybe some sort of dancing. Sitting and standing poses that are natural are a must - there are so few for kids that work right without OMSP's getting involved. I'd love to get my hands on the stuff you've made already though.

sims can pose and hold/feed a baby at the same time (feeding is easy, holding requires a lot more tries).
You need a bottle, a pose hack (preferably sitting poses) and some patience. Children can hold babies too, but the poses are a bit awkward (they have to be "child-in-teen/adult-body" to hold the baby)

But I wouldn't mind some more "holding baby" poses, especially for children. Would look nice for sibling photos. The baby can be placed with OMSPs and such...

Mothers brushing/braiding/pigtailing hair.

I think that animation would be fairly easy to make, but I don't know yet how to add custom props (I have a small decorative brush in the game) to Sims hands.

I could make these animations but someone else would have to work on animating the swing. :)

What would be interesting would be a sim child playing with an "imaginary friend." Make actions between kids available as poses or animations for a single child (hugging, talking, mary mack, tag) and it will look like the child has an invisible friend!

I would love to see hop scotch and tree climbing. It would be fun to see a child put a finger to his lips as if to say, "Shhhh!". Your idea of making a tea party animation would be wonderful, especially if the children could hold their stuffed animals as they drank the tea.

If the children can't "hold baby" could they talk or sing to baby? I am so sad that the little ones can't do anything with the infant.
