If I download a lot with custom content, do I have to download the custom content separately?

I'm sure this question has come up before, but I could not find an answer.
I want to download this lot: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=300995, not because I like the house, but because of the stuff it has in it. It has a list of things that are in the house package and things that are not included... so far so good. But of the things that are included, a lot of them are recolors - do I need the originals (meshes) in order for them to work? And of the things that are originals - are the meshes included so that I can buy them from other lots that I build?

My question is more if downloading this lot will be a shortcut to downloading all of the stuff seperately..?

Nope, all of the cc listed as included should come with the meshes (or else they wouldn't actually be included! That would be mean of the creator!). Just open up the lot in Clean Installer and uncheck everything you don't want, and you'll be good to go.
