Sim Always has "1 Hour" Until work

I have a sim in the law enforcement career and he's on level 7, I believe. He won't stop going to work. He called and invited his girlfriend over, she showed up and he went to work until 8 pm, and when that was done he left, then went back to work. This cycle keeps happening and whenever I cancel the action I get a notif saying how much he had made, but he stands for a few seconds and goes back to work. I have tried the following:

-Resetting with the MasterController
-Moving them out in edit town mode and then replacing them in the house
-Letting him stay until 8pm regardless of when he showed up (sometimes ALL DAY)

When night falls it says he's working overtime, when the sun comes back up it says he has an hour until work no matter what.

Someone help, I've googled everything! :cry:

Is there an option on his phone to have him take unpaid time off from work? Maybe that might help. (And he's earned himself a vacation anyway.) Or you might bulldoze and replace the police station.

I forgot to mention, I did try the unpaid time off work. I also tried promoting him and when I kept cancelling the action to go to work he got demoted. I'll try bulldozing though!
