View Full Version : Sims 2 Projects won't show up after being copied back

I have Googled and I've looked in the help section and cannot find anything to do with what I'm asking, so this is a last resort, hope that's OK.

I have Sims 2 and installed Bon Voyage. Before I did this I made a copy of my Downloads and Projects folder because they'd taken ages to collect/make.

Bon Voyage wasn't as good as I thought it would be so I uninstalled it, which wiped my downloads and projects.

So I've copied them back to the Sims folder. My downloads are showing in the game but my projects are not.

Is there anything I can do? It's been years in the making and I really don't want to start again.

Did you copy over all the files in Projects or just the folders? And are these files from the BV game?

Hiya I don't know if this will be helpful but I had the same problem once, I can't remember if it was after an uninstall or what. It was my downloads that wouldn't show up. But it was because I had merged the Downloads folder with the empty one, instead of manually moving all the contents over. I had to move the contents back to the desktop, delete the folder and make a new one, then move all the contents over manually. It worked for me, I don't really know why. I would try that and see if it works.

Thank you guys. I copied the whole folder back, and when that didn't work, I just tried some individual package files and that didn't work either.

Now Body Shop won't even let me try making clothes, wished i'd never bothered installing Bon Vorage now :-(

I think the likely explanation is that the game files were updated for BV when you installed it - you were given a warning about this when you installed the EP. Now you've uninstalled it, they won't work with earlier expansions.
