i've heard one person call it ness before, everyone else I know (including me) says N. E. S. but the weirdest thing i've heard was when someone called the SNES (Super Nintendo) the sness, just what the hell... sness?

I put other because I switch between the 2 I used to only say ness but then I heard so many people say N.E.S. Same goes for snes, it used to only be sness/snez but now I switch between that and S.N.E.S.
