Default riddles!
riddle#1
There is a blind man a def man and a mute man, they all have oranges, the def man steals an orange from the blind man. How would the mute man tell the blind man his orange was stolen?
clues
1. it is a form of verbal communication
2. it is something you do everyday
3. think simply

riddle#2
a horse is tied to a 10 foot rope. there is a bale of hay 30 feet away. how does the horse eat the hay?

answer by nintendolover, rope not tied to anything.

riddle#3
A horse travels the same distance every day.
Oddly, two of its legs travel 30 miles each day and the other two legs travel nearly 31 miles.
It would seem that two of the horse's legs must be one mile ahead of the other two legs, but of course this can't be true.
Since the horse is normal, how is this situation possible?

answer by ghost, walking in circles

riddle#4
The following sentence is false.

The preceding sentence is true.

Are these sentences true or false?

answered by ghost, neither true or false, impossible question

riddle#5

How much dirt is there in a hole that is 6 ft deep, and 10 inches in diameter?

answered by nintendolover, no dirt in hole

1: Mutes can still groan. (Or throw shoes.)
2: Is the other end of the rope tied to anything? Then again, horses can chew through ropes.
3:The outside of a curve is longer than the inside of the curve, so running in circles all day would do it.
4: no. They are neither true nor false, since the determination is based on a situation that hasn't occurred.
5: there is no dirt in the hole; the dirt is outside the hole.

If I were the mute I would throw a shoe near the blind man on the theory that when he hears it land he will feel around and notice the missing orange. But that obviously isn't the right answer.

#1 he was confused with the mute man and was able to tell the blind man that the orange was stolen from the deaf man. Therefore concluding that the mute man was the deaf man resulting in the occasion of the deaf man telling the blind man that the orange was stolen from the mute man.
OR
The mute man used sign language to persuade the def man to tell the blind man that he stole the orange
OR
The mute man had a talking parrot that told the blind man that the orange was stolen
OR
The mute man obtained a voice box and told the blind man straight out.

I don't usually put my fingers in my mouth and whistle every day either. I don't even know how; I've just seen it done. But that doesn't rely on vocal cords, so a mute man could do it.
