This is a lovely family home - i like the iddea of it being a home that's already seen a family raised, and
that another could be raised after they leave. Some good homey touches here, it looks really lived-in.
Build Skill - 4
I like what you've done here, the little details such as the column on the open wall-end on the ground floor
are great. You've only lost a point here on the second floor - I feel like the bedrooms could have been a
little more equal in size.

I like the Country theme and think you have followed it nicely inside and out, the only thing you have lost
points on in my book is there is a lot of empty space and bare walls, in particular the master bedroom is large
but there’s not a lot in there. While I find it is lovely I do think it is catered more to an elderly person
rather than a couple raising a family.

This looks to me like a new build with a starter family in it - neat, clean, but a little mis-matched, like
they've had family members give them furniture. Good job!

A little boxy, but it suite the 'new build' look. I like what you've done with the little balcony at the back

JUDGE 1
Lot Theme - 3
It's a good start to the contest, but the house looks very staid and unlived in - there are lots of unused
spaces, and the colours theme, whilst a good idea, would probably have worked with a more neutral colour
pattern for the main decor, with just a few splashes of colour here and there.
Build Skill - 3
I'm aware that this is a very new game to you, and in light of this, this is a good first attempt. It is,
however, very boxy and unrealistic - there are some great tutorials on the site here and maybe having a look at
details on houses around you, such as window placement, will help you to bring a little more realism to your
game.
Playablilty - 4
Room certainly isn't an issue here, lot's of space. I can see you have a microwave in a corner with will be
inaccessible without a hack, which is why you have lost a point here.
Overall Theme - 5

JUDGE 2
Theme: 3/5
You said you had a colour theme but I think you have actually used too much colour. Instead of making all rooms
one different colour, try instead to make them maybe 2 predominant colours and then use hints of other colours
in accessories and appliances. There is a lot of unused wasted space, the floor plan is nice, but lacking in
'stuff'. You have squished in a dinette in the kitchen when with all the space you have you could have pulled
off a separate dining room all on its own. Great try for your first time though and I look forward to seeing
you grow through the competition.
Build Skill: 3/5
Outside it does appear a wee bit boxy, have a go at playing with different wall placements, you can make bay
windows, use columns to create awnings etc. and for a better roof effect try running the roof in together,

I love the jewel-toned colours you have inside, and I think they match the look you were trying to go for with
the house pretty well, especially the Belhooven Maroo windows.
Build Skill - 3.5
Boxy, and I think the roof would have worked better at a lower angle. The landscaping is pretty basic, and it
feels like there is a lot of wasted potential in the back garden. The layout on the upper floor is great,

I’m not too sure who this is intended for, maybe a family judging by the hamster cage and the pool? It looks
like a nice spacious family house anyway. I like the blues you have used, it flows nicely from the outside
through the house but does not overwhelm the viewer. I also like that there is a decent amount of art on walls
and they are not bare, and the house looks lived in with not too much unused space.
Build Skill: 4.5/5
I really like the shape you have made of this one, its not too boxy and the roof lines flow together nicely.
Where you missed out on the .5 for me is in the garden department, you have a good front garden, maybe pop some
dirt terrain under the flowers, shrubs and trees and even the gate opening, just so its not so perfect. Also
you have a really large area with nothing in it, I know you needed to leave room for an extension but maybe
even a tree here or swing set or something could have been good.

Very clean and modern, without being oversanitised and unlived in. I particularly like the flipped floorplan

Build Skill - 5
No plain box here! every inch of space seems well-used, with defined areas even in an open-plan layout. The
patio area in the garden is particularly great, I think I may end up stealing that floor tile/ edge trim idea!
Playablilty - 4
You're losing a point here as some of the diagonals look like they will inspire stomping/unuseable areas - the
main area I am seeing is in the nook/tv area, which whilst great IRL may b e a bit too much of a squeeze for

Build Skill - 4.5
The different riooflines on the porch add some visual interest to the front of the lot, and the layouf of the
garden along with the house works well. The open-plan living space with it's dividers is a good, realistic

It's a family home, but the wallpapers don't really seem to blend in that well with the furniture used -
everything just seems a little mismatched and 'off', I can't quite put my finger on why.

It's a little bit plain, but you've gone out on a limb and added a basement here, and it works well in the

Theme: 3.5/5
While this is clearly for a family, I’m finding that is seems a bit empty of 'life' so to speak. There’s a lot
of room, but you haven’t really filled it with much, apart from the dining table in the middle it seems
everything else is pushed to the sides and then there’s a big space left in the middle. You have a lovely foyer
up stairs and I like that it overlooks the front door, but again there’s nothing up there (except for two
plants) There doesn’t seem to be an abundance of pictures on walls in hallways either. Its a great start I
would have liked you to push it a bit further though
Build Skill: 3.5/5
The outside is a wee bit boxy, and there seems to be contrasting colours, which makes it seem 'busy'. Some
terrain paint under the flowers and trees to give a bit of a dirt effect is a bonus too. I like you have
included a basement, and I’m always one for sectioning off areas inside using that small fence 'thing' (forget
what its called) to give it a finished look, well done there!

here because I'm not seeing much of the 'raise a family here' element in this lot (I'm sorry, I feel pretty
mean putting that!). Otherwise, the theme of the lot is very clear and well-presented.
Build Skill - 5
The lot looks great - it's well laid out, has a cohesive 'factory' element and everything works well. Attention
to details such as the column supporting the upstairs floor and the wallpaper going the full two storeys are
important in bringing realism to a lot.
Playablilty - 5

Factories do tend to be quite boxy I understand that, but my eye just keeps going to the empty space above the

This is a great lot - things like the raised columns, glass carport and the placement of the windows all give a
highly realistic look to the lot without sacrificing playability. The sunken dining area is a great touch.
Playablilty - 4
Some of the doorways look like they would cause issues, especially up on the second floor where they are in

Build Skill - 4
Quite blocky - I know I am mentioning roofs in a lot of these, but they really can make all the difference in a

I actually cant tell what your theme is, I’m giving you a 3 because the size of your house makes me think that
its for a family, but as there is nothing to show kids live here I just don’t know. There’s no wall hangings
apart from a clock and a spice rack, and nothing really personal to say anyone lives here.
Build Skill: 3.5/5
While you have the beginnings of a nice shape on the outside it is a bit boxy and the brown tones paired with
just the green box hedging and not colourful flowers make it a wee bit dull. There’s quite a bit of unused

the other rooms are quite neutral tones, either no pattern or a stripe and then this room is completely
different. I do really like the style of your kitchen.

I like the colour of the house, but think its a bit too much, maybe a nice shingle or siding would have gone
well on the outside of the second floor, and a wee window would have looked nice in the centre of the roof, to
