As you may have read, I was really struggling to come with a way to really
add the science theme to my library, the venue I chose for this round, until
I started thinking about the different courses a top-notch science University
would offer... until it hit me, vets. I figured I'd try and use horses since they're
not available in The Sims 2 so it would be something a bit different for this
round. The idea of this lot is it's a converted barn, and is a bit further out
in the countryside that the rest of the University campus.
Downstairs, you will find a pair of stables, research equipment and a computer area.
There's also a break area, with a coffee machine. In the bathroom, I used all-in-one
shower cubicles (that function as sink, toilet and shower) so that I could save space.
Upstairs, there's the actual library part of the lot - a whole set of shelves with the largest
collection of books and journals about equine anatomy, medicine and care. There's also
a lecture area, where students can listen to their professors and the occassional guest speaker.
The required part of the lot really bugged me (no offence, Karen!) so it become a structure
where the University posts announcements about the latest work of the centre, and offers
brochures and other information to potential students who are visiting the University. Even
though, I'm playalong, I still stuck to the 30x20 lot size, and kept the aspen tree where it was
