This combined cafe/galler/art studio/games room is one of the oldest purpose built student buildings in the country. It has served a number of functions over the years, but currently houses a gallery to display student art, along with a space for students to explore their creativity. There is also a cafe for coffee and freshly baked goods, and a games room in the attic.
The ground floor has a gallery on the left, with the cafe just off to the right.
The first floor contains the art studio, complete with easels, pottery wheels, a sewing machine, and toy building and flower arranging stations. On the right side is extra cafe seating on a balcony.
Finally, the second floor is a games room.
This view is from the front door of the building. The gallery is fully equipped with appropriate lighting and peaceful, yet comfortable seating.
If you look to the right upon entering, you can see the receptionist's desk and a view into the cafe. There is a helpful sign to show thirsty art viewers the way!
The cafe offers a large variety of delicious baking.
Part of the art studio upstairs. There is more artwork up here, along with various models.
The toilets are also on the first floor.
In the corner, there is a brush cleaning station, along with a cabinet housing extra supplies.
Finally, there are games upstairs.
Thank you for such a fun contest! It's been great to get to join in.
