TOWN CONTRACT #2 - Results (Details)
Thank you all for your submissions to the second town contract. These are the details of the scoring,
along with an image of what the judges used to determine your score. The
following post is a breakdown of your company's spending for the round.

Due to non-responsiveness from one of our directors, the scores in brackets " [ ] "
have be added in place of that director's score. The number of points received in lieu of
that director's score has been placed using a geometric mean of the four submitted scores
rounded down to the nearest whole number for each section, except for TTL.
As the original trendsetter for the emergency fire escape at the back of the building, your entry is the 'original' in my opinion and therefore deserves of much praise. I really like how cheap looking you made your complex appear to be with the decoration which seems to be added by the residents themselves, making it incredibly realistic. I especially adore the studio/top level apartment since you really designated an artist to live there and demonstrated a use for items, that arrangement of doors to be exact, which just made me say "wow!". It still feels that your ground level could have still had a little bit more in it, but you could have place just a small sitting item or something of the sort, since it gives me the wrong impression of your building. Although it is only a minimal problem, I am still very impressed with your overall build and look forward to seeing much more!

This is an incredibly impressive entry where the girls have well demonstrated that they can minimize costs as well as make it beautiful, both at the same time. I can really see these units being occupied quickly, since the complex contains so much to offer as there are more to it than just the units, there is the common areas as well which you have clearly made good use of all the space! In my opinion, you have perfectly fufilled the requirements for this round and have again demonstrated the ability that the girls possess, convincing me that your company is investment-worthy.

In my opinion, this is a very well-executed build, yet the façade makes it appear as if it is more elegant than the neighbourhood which it is located. I really like the layout and design of all your apartment units, where I can clearly see some sort of reference to Modernist/Constructionist(/Socialist) architecture with views of both the front and back with your orange and pink units, which demonstrates their nature as working-class apartments with optimistic outlooks. If I was correct, you have well incorporated some past ideas, which relate perfectly with the kind of residents those two units are going to contain. I love the idea of the shop at the bottom as well as the design for that pool. My only other issue was with your green apartment, where the entrance to the bedroom was through the bathroom, which I found quite odd. I hope that your aim was not to gentrify the area, yet it was to give a better lifestyle to the working-class. Your company seems to do that successfully.

I am currently in awe of your building skills, and you have once again demonstrated the superb ability of your construction company. By keeping your units to the bare minimum of space gives the proper impression that people who live here are beginning the journeys on their lives and are just beginning to make some income. I imagine this building in the urban/downtown setting and contains basically 'nothing special' yet at the same time it is incredibly realistic and relatable, which I find to be the best aspect about it. I can not find a single problem with your complex and am incredibly impressed by your unique design choice, affirming your company's potential in my opinion.

Your inclusion of four units instead of five, as well as your choice of having one common kitchen is a bold, unique, and impressive move. However, your common areas could still contain a little bit more in them. What I mean is that a small mini-fridge and a toaster-over is not sufficient for residents to share, which makes it appear as if your company is catering to your own profit much more than to offering some basic living standards of which the residents expect. Of course the units are meant to sleep and bathe, yet you could have made better use of the front desk area, or have installed a more permanent security desk if that is what you were going for. Your combination of the elevator and stairs are swell, since many others did not include both, even though realistically many complexes do have both, yet I do not understand why you did not wall off the elevator and left it resting on the rug, making your building appear again quite cheaply-built.

Your company has once again impressed me as your entry perfectly fulfils this round's requirements and ideally suits the environment it is to be situated. Although all the units are the same plan, you have individualized each one of them as well as fill the entire open space, which is incredibly tough to do in my opinion. I also adore the ground/landlord's level and the unique inclusion of a driveway and garage, even though as you mentioned it belongs to the landlord as they would probably have the car. I enjoy the complex's urban feel, and it shows your company's own interpretation which it does so perfectly, therefore continuing to demonstrate your company's well-established potential!

I really like the exterior of your build, however I feel that it actually may be 'too nice' for the requirements for this round. One of my issues with your build was the lack of fences/railings around your spiral staircases inside your units, as usually you would always expect that especially for safety standards. That is a huge safety flaw and does not impress me in the position as a director, and your beautiful exterior can not sway me otherwise. The red and green is an interesting twist, however I don't feel as they compliment themselves well and obviously the residents may choose otherwise, and possibly may ditch one of the colours. Your complex has a somewhat upscale feel to it as well, which is not incredibly fitting to the round's requirements, but it compliments the exterior, yet it still doesn't look as if it was created to gentrify the neighbourhood.

I am glad to see that you are struggling to maintain as much of your Veronaville façade to your buildings as much as you could, as these requirements do not allow you to do so. I highly like your influence drawn from the Scottish hallway, as well as that exterior shelter, but I feel like you could have added some more greenery/trees especially since that it quite a unique idea and should draw your residents into your garden. I also think that you could have used your space a little better as it seems much more focused on units as a family's first apartment complex, giving much more of an upscale impression along with the fireplaces. I really think you could have made a better choice of floors/walls to make the units appear somewhat more cheap looking, and include some other common space instead of that one massive top unit, which does not seems to fulfil what this round is looking for.

You completely delivered a grungy/urban feel to the this complex, that I completely was unprepared to expect. Yet I love it for some reason as it gives the sense of the cheapest apartment one could afford. It appears too dirt poor as if it was the same as the previous round, but I think this round was looking for much more of a basic starter, so the residents have a low, but steady source of income, probably young/newly-graduated postsecondary students in my opinion. I really like the exterior decoration and greenery of your build, yet I must reiterate that your building does not ideally suit the requirements for this round, which is unfortunate. I still am able to see the potential that your company possesses and am willing to forgive you, since I still am quite in awe of your entry!

This is one of my favourite entries for this round since it's just so optimistic as well as demonstrates another beautiful building provided by your company, something I have grown to expect as of now! I really can not find a single issue with your entry, I am fully serious, I love the trees in the back and the ground unit's private garden. I love the common space in the front, as well as the little billiards room. This entry clearly satisfies this round's requirements, as it appears to be on the better side of a stater apartment in a very new (suburban) part of the city, and it leaves much else up to my imagination. It is possible that you made it too upscale, however it is just the way that you have placed the furniture just to make it appear as if so, making it also interesting in that sense.
IBC your building looks very refreshed and clean. (Not saying the other apartments don't look clean but this one looks "different" clean.)

I really like your choice of random accent walls with patterns and the balconies to the rear of you complex as it makes it look quite rustic will all the wood themes of your building. It slightly resembles something of base, but is honestly better since a lot of creative effort was clearly spent in the development, and in my opinion it has well paid off. It's front and first floor, apart from the ground unit, still appear quite bare in my opinion, and although you make up for it with you common backyard it still feels like you could have reflected that to the front, don't fret it though. I really like the individualized design style of each of your units, and they fulfil the requirement of an apartment of base, and reflects the cost-reducing measures you put in to place. Really good job, stay on the same path and continue to demonstrate your company's potential!
