Game: Sims 2 Custom Content: Yes Holiday Venue: Souvenir gift shop (downloaded TS2 template shell)
Venue Requirements: cash till + something typical of your holiday destination (potted cacti and pottery) Building Requirements: Must keep walls and foundation from shell. Must have 2 terraces. Must have paneling on 10 exterior spaces at least. ----Paneling locations: 10 total tiles of pale wood paneling on front right and front left of building ( 5 each per front wall). 24 total panels on east and wast side of building (12 each per side) Additionally, Paneling used on the rooftop half-walls. Location: Pandora, a desert town on the fringes of the Kashmire Region - akin to the southwest United States.
On the edge of town lies a very fun place for the tourist and consumer passing through. There is an open plaza of artisan goods that would be a unique souvenir for any sim. A number of different stalls and carts contain a variety of options, it could take a few sim hours to browse through all the market has to offer. What is more is that on Sunday mornings, there is a local auction on rare and one-of-a-kind items donated by a number of the local craftsmen or collectors to raise money for the Pandoran School District. The auctioneer rambles off bids quite fast!
Additionally, to find reprieve from the relentless sunshine that is basically year-round, the main building is air conditioned and acts as a local museum. There are three museum displays. There is also a small room for visitors to watch an educational history video about the region, learn about dry-fire poinsettias, the resilient grove of trees, and other local sights of interest. There's even an interactive model of the old Pandora round-trip railroad!
TOP
With all Roofage enabled, like most places in Pandora, the museum utilizes solar power. You can also see the wrap-around tile cover that helps shade the seller's stalls.
FOUNDATION LEVEL
A peek into the museum, the market plaza uses awnings that do not collapse at the foundation level. So unfortunately, you cannot see the wares on foundation-made shelves from birds-eye-view.
Here's a breakdown of what can be found at the foundation level:
1: Museum Curator Desk /Cash Till (required) - Tourists can buy postcards, magazines, and pamphlets in the museum.
2: Museum Displays
3: Interactive Train set
4: Educational Video Room
5: Restrooms
6: Terrace 1 (Required) - A shaded area behind the museum where one can play chess, has secondary access to Market Plaza
7: (Covered by Awning) Terrace 2 (Required) - Auctioning area for items and auctioneer.

10: Figurine & Knick Knack Cart
11: Purse & Handbag Cart
12: Dishware Cart
13: Outdoor shaded seating, vending machine, and public phone
I have also outlined in bright red, where Karen's original shell walls and foundation terraces are since it's hard to tell at foundation level because of the awnings that won't collapse.
Inside the museum - you can see the interactive train set, where the museum curator sits, buyable Pandora postcards, museum pamphlets, magazines. There's also a photo booth to snap some vacation memories!
The Museum Displays - from left to right:
1: A piece of meteor found in the canyon, it may have created the canyon!! it is thought by scientists to have hit Earth 25,000 years ago and may have wiped out the indigenous inhabitants.
2: Some ancient pottery found in an archeological dig - not too far from the canyon; it is how they know there were previous inhabitants to the area.
3: More evidence of the population before the old West Settlers stumbled upon the area. These statues may have had a meaning of love or unity and the smaller one was an idol of leadership.
Back terrace where one can relax in the shade and increase some logic on chess. Pandoran rules say if you're foolish enough to look away from the board and then turn back to find a piece taken - that is a valid move.
Auctioning Area - Looks like the last item is a signed helmet of the Pandora Panthers, the high school football team.
Woodcarver's Stall - Carves statues, wall art, and functional furniture. You can custom order and have a souvenir delivered by the time you return home!
Used Books can be a new treasure to a book worm! Reading material is always a good thing on the trip back to Scandalica City.
A Local Muscian will play tunes for tips but also has a killer collection of vinyl records for sale.
A couple of talented potters have wheeled up a variety of unique souvenirs, decorative and functional. Need a vase, a new tea set? Pick a color and they will make it right there before your very eyes!
The crafty hands of the seamstress have made quilts, clothes, and even pillow covers. A nice and comfortable gift for your loved one.
Get your very own potted cacti! The planter's stall has different types to take home! Also fake poppies in a can which can brighten up any nook.
So many paintings for sale and you can even watch the artist at work!
Stand alone carts that have even more options for gifts, keepsakes, and souvenirs. Purses, figurines, and jewelry all made by local artisans.
Uh oh! My social bar is low - that's why I posted today.
