Charmful: This could easily be a Colorado ski lodge. With 20 years spent in Denver, I have seen a few....

"Absolutely stunning landscaping. The terrain paint work is stellar, and the way you’ve shaped the land is really really well done. The bird watching hiking trail is a very fun and creative concept. I like the way you’ve built the espresso bar, and there are some fun ideas in the bigger house. You’ve got some great decorations going on with very nice use of CC, but it is a tad basic, especially given the unlimited budget. The exterior of the house is gorgeous though, very interesting architecture. Is there a food source somewhere that I am missing?
The key part of this assignment was to make something very unique with activities that are specific for that region. While I do love your lot, I don’t think it quite reaches that criteria. This round was intended to test out of the box thinking, and while the bird watching hiking trail certainly meets that challenge you didn’t quite go there with the rest of it. In my opinion your best build this contest, and I am a little sad that the different criteria makes score not reflect that."
Charmful: A very nice lot. This has the overall feeling of being in the mountains although something isn’t sitting quite right with the roofing for me. I think a steeper roof with a peak for snow slip rather than the flat line. The skating area surrounds look a bit out of place too, I think an invisible fence would have blended it in better. I like the walking trail. Inside I definitely feel like I am in a mountain type retreat, love the coffee/hot chocolate area and the billiards deco on the wall. On the overhead I get the feeling that it’s just a little empty for it’s size and that maybe a square or two shorter would have made it feel cozier.

Maxon: wonderful job carving your town out of the sides of the valley. Yes, I recognize the "Treasury" building from Petra in Jordan. The color progression does make you think of layers of earth....and centuries of history.... well done
Maxon: So much to love about this lot. I love how it’s like a desert canyon, love the garden, love the Treasury, especially in the dark with the candles. There is nothing I can see or would improve on this lot. Stunning.

Comments: There’s really nothing I can say. *slow claps* Masterful. Please transport me into the Sim World so I can go visit like right now.

Justpetro: I like what you did with the shapes around the roof, they give an otherwise plain building shape a uniqueness. The front garden is beautiful and I like how you did the art gallery, might have to WCIF for those pedestals the jars and pots are on. The only thing I am not overly keen on is the toddler room. I like that you thought of them but the kitchen is quite a walk away and the play and sleep area is right next to a potty and change table which seems a bit unpleasant. It is also rather bare of toys. Otherwise a very nice lot.

Comments: Gorgeous architecture! You’ve done a masterful job managing to recreate the architectural details of this type of building despite the limitations of building in Sims. Really spot on. The gardens are very pretty, as are the balconies and really the entire outside of the lot. The insides are very interesting, but there’s a lot of empty space going on. Placing the toilets behind the stage is a bit weird. But good job on the atmosphere and the decorating. I really like the stage area and the bar seats overlooking it.
Justpetro: This is just a straight-up amazing lot. You've pushed the envelope and created a real wonder! I really like it. Outstanding.

Comments: Very creative concept, and certainly very tropical hotel-appropriate. Great job on the landscaping and the ambiance, especially in the front half of lot. Love the greenery. Great details in the build, love the columns of the chalets being incorporated in to the fencing. It is a tiny bit narrow in some places, and a bit empty in others. But over all stellar job on this lot!
Karen Lorraine: Masterful build. Daytimes spent with your toes dangling in the water.... night times enjoying the party atmosphere....

catherineTCJD: I like the up and down roofline and CFE work there. I may become known as ‘the judge that doesn’t like red and white diners’ but I don’t like it here either. Again to me it seems too bright and out of sync with the rest of the lot. I look at horses and my eye keeps being dragged over to it. Love the ranch feel with the horses and tac room, but the break dancer also doesn’t jive for me. The roller skating is less jarring but I wish there had been something more natural for the sims to do like a petting zoo, even if it had just been deco.

Comments: Very impressive likeness to the original, with good compromises where Sims 2 limitations got in the way. Fun concept, very fitting for the last round. I like the terrain paint work. And the exteriors of buildings are really quite gorgeous. I think you could have taken the interiors one notch further, but other than that not much I could critique on this lot. Well done!
Catherine TCJD : The only thing that could have made it better would have been to use walls with a "crumbly" feel..... but, as you stated, you wanted to stay as "CC Free" as possible. This was an out of the park home run....

Freelala: I like you picked something that nobody else has done-a monastery. There is something that doesn’t sit quite right with me and that is the front right building, I feel as if it should have at least a lower roof as well to break it up. Then on the ones behind it, the roof isn’t Asian but has a gully that will trap the runoff. I do like the garden, curved bridges and terrain shaping outside though. The clouds are a nice touch to give that up in the mountain feeling. Inside is very nice but I am searching for some kind of prayer or meditation room. I think focusing on the dorm lost a little bit of the monastery feel. Given that it is also a working dorm I think it’s a bit far to be making students walk to classes with all the steps.
Frelala
Comments: Breath-taking. The river of cloud in the middle is stunning, and every detail in the build elements are spot on. Excellent choices on terrain paints, foliage, wall papers, color schemes. Very unique, very creative, very very well done!
Freelala: I love your clouds.... at first glance, I thought it was river rapids.... With as gorgeous as it is outside.... why would you ever want to go inside??

Yvelotic: The exterior is wonderful but there doesn't seem to be much reason to go inside. No restroom?

Comments: What a fun concept. Having played a couple of pokemon games I really enjoyed this one. You did a masterful job copying both the trail and the building, there’s a really strong resemblance. And a really fun unexpected interpretation of the oriental theme. After all anime is a form of japanese modern art so this feels very appropriate (credit to gdayars for calling it japanese modern art, very appropriate term). The interior of the tower does feel very pokemon-level-y in it’s layout and decoration. You really did nail mimicking the original. However, choosing this particular thing to mimic limited you. The build itself is really basic, and the interior decorating is too. It’s appropriate to be for what you choose, but it is a build contest and you have choose something that will let you shine in every category and in this case your choice hindered you a little.
Gardens are lovely. Equally well mirrored to the original, and quite gorgeously done. Love the colors, love the choice of terrain paints, floor tiles and foliage. Very tasteful through and through. Very serene ambiance. Only thing missing is a pokemon peeking out from behind one of the trees!
Yvelotic2001: I think this could have been a good lot if you had used the game lot as inspiration only, but it wasn’t converted enough to be a sims activity lot. Sims need food and toilets and I don’t see any so the lot isn’t practical for sims to visit. Then there are no windows in the tower. The garden is pretty and reflects the game but real Asian gardens feature far more green plants than gold. On the picture of the tower they have some roof statues and there are Asian statues and roof deco in game that you could have used. It’s a pretty lot and quite unique but to me going over to something based in fantasy just didn’t hit the spot for me.
