Back with a new problem. Fixed the old problem by emptying download folder, but now whenever I try to have one sim propose to another (or any romantic interaction that activates a memory) sim, it will activate the jump bug. It wasn't a problem at first, when I realized there was a problem when trying to have a sim do the interaction "First Kiss" with another. The memory would still pop up, but now... Wondering if anyone has any idea what kind of custom content would cause this. I can also post the log as well, if anyone wants.

I recently reinstalled sims 2 on my windows 7 computer and uploaded my saved games. So far I keep seeing errors with my season expansion (red screen when the seasons change) as well as the no bone in model error for one sim. I read this thread on how to read the error but how do i fix the error? It happens consistently with the same Sim whether she is doing something or just standing there.

pfctjoy, you might need to try the Game Help Guide. The red screen sounds like an issue with your computer specs or your graphics card. Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements to run the game. You may also try posting a thread about the problem (and include your computer's specs) in the Sims 2 Help forum after you have done the FAQs.

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.
Perhaps someday I'll have leisure time back...

I hope it is okay to post this here. I do not have exactly the same problems as described by anyone else, but I did get an error log that I don't understand, since it does not seem to point to an object. I have only noticed this happen in one household. My single male sim, Harry, had an alien baby. Her birth went normally with all typical animations. After her child transition I used inSim to alien pollinate him again. This time, when it came time to give birth, he went through the zoom in, labor drama, and the dialog saying a new family member is on the way (or whatever it says). After that, instead of going into the movie where it shows the baby coming out of a plumbob, the baby appears in the sim list on the left and Harry's want to have a baby is satisfied but the baby doesn't exist, the option to name it never appears and the build/buy modes are grayed out.
I have tried moving the family out of their apartment and into a house and removing all custom content including hacks. Every time, (since I saved right before he went into labor) the exact same thing happens. I attached the error log it gave me. Can anyone help? I'd be very grateful!

For some reason it cannot draw the cinematic, not sure on the cause of that though. Possibly it's caused by one of your mods, often removing the mod will not remove the problem.

You could try turning off the cinematic (Special event camera) in the game options, before loading the game. Perhaps it would allow you to get past this error.

I will choose a path that's clear- I will choose free will

It worked! Thank you sooo much! I've had this problem for a week and I never even thought of turning off the event camera If I start having more problems I'll look harder to find what was causing it, but for now I'm just glad I can play that household again. Thank you thank you thank you!

I hope you can help me. I get an object error message when I play inside an apartment. When I try to interact with the roommate my controllable sim disappears. Also, shortly after my controllable sim looks for work on the computer the roommate disappears. I have tons of custom content and it would take me a lifetime to eliminate the responsible cc. I have disabled all the cc that shows up red in the Sims2clean pack installer. I have attached the error log I receive when my controllable sim disappears. Is it something to do with the mailbox?

First, this isn't the correct place for this question. You should be posting in the Sims 2 Help forum:
http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=31

If you had, then you would have received instructions to do the Game Problem FAQ first:
http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...lp:Game_Problem

Your problem is very likely a problem with your CC and you need to resolve that yourself by following the FAQ. If the FAQ doesn't solve your problem, start a new thread in the Sims 2 Help forum.

I don't have sinking pets, however, none of my sims are able to do ANYTHING with clothes. If I even HOVER over a clothes rack or closet, the position of my sims portrait shifts, it cancels WHATEVER they're doing, and they won't buy or change clothes. This stinks because 99% of what I downloaded today was clothes. I did the error log and it says it's missing an action string in the table. However, the item listed was a green vending machine....I attempted to zip the error log. Hopefully, this helps so I can get back to doing what I love! <3

Please see my post #109 just above this one. My advice seems to apply to you, too. You need to follow the game problem FAQ to find the problem with your CC. If you continue to have problems, you need to post in the Sims 2 Help forum.

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. In one of my households, 4 of the sims keep getting error messages and "jumping" or resetting everytime they try to do anything. This is only happening with 4 out of the 8 sims and only on one lot? Does anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it?

M.M.A.A., why are you telling us this? Are you asking for help? If so, this isn't the correct place to ask for help. That's what the Help forum is for.

If you are creating your own mod, then it's important to learn how to read error logs.

If you're reporting a problem with a specific mod, it's important to know how to get an error log to give to the creator.

However, if you just have a number of jump bugs in your game, the right thing is to follow the game problem FAQ, especially the part about finding problem content.

Once you've found a specific mod which causes a jump bug with no other CC installed at all, then you can give the error log to the creator (or peruse the log yourself, if you feel like trying to solve the problem yourself).

If the error only occurs when other CC is installed, then you probably have a conflict of some sort. In that case, you might want to narrow the problem down to a conflict between two specific mods, then report the problem to both creators so that they can mention in their download thread that there is a conflict.

Yes.

Please do the Game_Help:Game_Problemwiki FAQ. Since your problem is CC related, it should solve your problem.

In the future, this is not the correct place to post problems with your game. Instead, please post in the Sims 2 Help forum.

You might also want to check out Site -> Site Rules and Guidelines.
