I have Sims 2 as well as University, Apartment Life, and several expansion packs. However, my cousin only has the base game and had asked me to create a house for her. So, I loaded only Sims 2 on my other computer and started working on it. However, when I went to put the roof on I found that I don't have the tool to alter the pitch of the roof. I'm confused and was wondering if I need to reload the game or whether this is something that is not available through the base game alone.

If it isn't available, how do you alter the pitch of the roof or is there no way to do so with the base game?

There is no way to alter the roof pitch in just the base game. :/

Bummer. Is there anyway of making a house with a non-stupid looking roof pitch and then make it base game compatible?

Thanks.

Nope. If you use any EPs to make the house, it will crash for your cousin (or anyone else) who doesn't have the same EPs installed.

Well, you can make a dummy level on the top of your house and then use the "boolprop constrainFloorElevation false" cheat to adjust the top floortiles to your desired height.

Grid Adjuster is also an option.

I know how to change the pitch with "roofslopeangle **"
But when I try to use "individualroofslopeangle **" it does not work.
I have all the EP's and a couple of SP's, as well as tons of custom content. Everything works fine so far. I just can't figure out how to make a barn shaped roof. Is using a dummy floor the only way? I can do that but I'd rather not if there is an easier way.

Thank you.
